As a fan of sharks, my absolute favourite shark species is The Great White. It's one of the most magnificent animals on this planet. Unfortunately over here in the UK it's unlikely that a Great White population is patrolling The English Channel, but some of The Great Whites relatives hunt in British waters such as The Short Fin Mako, The Porbeagle and The Common Thresher Shark.

dont forget the Greenland Shark. They're known to frequent around the around the Isle as they quite enjoy Scottish Haddock (so do i) which is a deeper sea fish and deep sea's suit them just fine. They can be found all of the world but for some strange reason they seem to migrate to the St Lawrence River just at the edge of Quebec here in Canada. Up until about 1996 most people thought the Greenland shark was almost a myth. They believe that some greenland sharks can be as old as anywhere from two to five hundred years old. To see what they've seen in several centuries......

I like his attitude as he talks about the sharks I just thank he’s guessing since no one knows for sure with all the respect Ito him. Sharks have attacked people in the past and they don’t know why. They don’t have enough information on them either. I think it shows very good and I like his attitude as I stated and he really also gets into it. I also enjoy watching him so I would watch them again in the future

The number 1 thing on my bucket list is to go cage diving to watch and film great whites :) That first shark looked like it was a pregnant female... The way it was swimming seemed like it didn't have a lot of energy because of its extra belly weight.

The Ugly Barnacle A shark (or any predator for that matter) wants to conserve its energy, so it’s much more likely to go after limp prey (like the dead tuna) than live prey (like the sea lion) since the shark would have to put forth a whole lot more effort to catch the live prey.

+mariambearantoinnete So the weird thing is that when you are scuba diving, you are down there as part of the ocean and you don't feel the intimidation of the depth. The best analogy I can think of is this. If you are way up on a ladder looking down on things, that's what snorkeling is like being at the surface looking down into the ocean. When you scuba dive, it's like climbing down the ladder to the ground.

It's very relaxing at depth, but it's never fun to be at a point where you cannot see the bottom (Not fun to catch a surprise or ambush)

As a surfer I do fear sharks but the reality is they are not out to get us. Vast majority of shark bites are an accident. They are actually quite spectacular creatures.

I love watching Jonathan’s teachings. I have seen this one before a few different times and even though I have seen it already I still enjoy listening to him. I grew up watching Jaws and that’s giving my age way LOL! I don’t trust any shark whatsoever. I also agree with him that we don’t know a lot about these different species of sharks. I also think maybe these movies I have given them a bad rap as we hear all bad things about pitbull‘s when it’s the stupid owners fault not the dog. All we hear is a horror stories about this particular breed when they’re not even dangerous whatsoever. My daughter had a beautiful pitbull and her name was Bella she was the most sweetest dog ever. Going back to Jonathan I love watching this man. Him being from New England just like I am makes him crazy and also full of passion. He’s better than Jock Cousteau call remember seeing as a kid. None of his teachings that Jonathan does is boring. Keep doing it Jonathan

Great video Jonathan, I also make shared video's not as great as yours but getting footage is the way to go. I like to fish in the San Francisco Bay but when the fishing season starts out in the open Ocean I have no choice but to go and get some. I read some of your comments haha funny, "stupid overhype voice" I talk like a robot on my video's. Your video adding the Close Caption and Subtitle gives the option to helps viewers mute your video PLUS ON THAT. Friends and myself took our Hobie AI kayak night fishing in Monterey California 1:00am on a full moon and circled this big bait ball hopping it was squid to find out we were disturbing a pod of killer whales , scary situation. 2 dorsal fins surfaced on the side of my kayak 3-4 foot high one after another . I took that as a warning that I better leave their bait ball alone so off into the dark we went in search for ghost (white sea bass). Great White Sharks are all over these waters from Monterey South to Stinson Beach up North I hope I never see one as close as you have. Keep the video's going your doing a great job.
