Orcas have arrived in the bay now so it will be interesting to see how the Great Whites react. In False Bay, Cape Town, they fled the area and were absent for some months.

There were two specific Orcas who hunted the sharks. That's why they are still absent from False Bay and Gansbaai, but present in Mossel Bay, Plettenberg Bay and Algoa Bay. Many people lost their livelihoods when the sharks left, nearly ruined parts of the tourism economy because people came from all over the world to see our sharks

Well they haven't been very effective with 2 shark deaths in the Plett area in the last 3 months.

Poor seals have it bad, orcas and sharks constantly after them they must live in total fear all the time.

Sharks were designed to eat this way as many animals also are. If you have ever watched a lion take a baby gazelle it is also hard to watch. The earth is violent.

When a shark is spotted aea lions flee to shore. It's a good thing tigers are waiting for them. Because they wouldn't know wtf to do.

That's exactly what this one did too! 2 shark deaths in the last 3 months in this area. But now the orcas have arrived and chased the great whites away for a few years.. Hope so for the people of Plett.
