Great tips! Can you show have to set up the light and sound for filming an iPad from above. For faceless where the content on the iPad is the essence. (Drawing tutorials).

YAY! More Julia! Here's a big vote for seeing an easy to set up/break down kitchen set up. I'll also share that I've bought the soft box light you suggest on the /tools page and that company is awesome. One light arrived with a weird flicker issue, and the company replaced BOTH lights for free, so now I have 3 working lights! 🥳

This was really good! Outdoor content would be great, as well as SMALL kitchens with no island (here in the UK we don't have huge kitchens and islands are rare, getting good angles is so hard!😅). Thanks guys this was a great video 👏🏻

I completely agree that lighting is such a huge deal. I teach art in my videos and it has taken me months to finally achieve the level of lighting that I'm happy with. I appreciate this video, as I'm organizing my studio so I can show myself from time to time. I will certainly look into the RGB light. As far as requests, I don't suppose you would have tips for artists (painting, drawing, sketching, et)?

One issue that I found with natural lighting (which is why I try to shoot at night), is the instability of the lighting from outside interferes with the quality of the video you're trying to produce. Since my house was built in the 50's, there is no overhead light in the living room (don't ask me why, that's just how it was built), I just use an old lamp that uses 5 lamp bulbs. It seems to help a lot with lighting. Good tutorial.
@samdezao

Lamps can really do quite a bit! Only thing to watch out for is mixing color temperature light bulbs. If some of them are warmer than others it tends to not look so good in video

Very helpful. My personal issue is That I make mainly vfx tutorials in front of my computer. I shoot on a Sony fx3 It's just difficult to find a good angle and set up a presentable background since the camera is always gonna be side ways cause the monitors are in front of me and I can't have a camera blocking my view. Maybe you could make a video on that? Pretty please ☺️

I have my own basic setup that I grew into something I liked but it is nice to see someone else's perspective from basic set up to more advanced setup. But it's true, that people shouldn't let money stand in the way of getting started. You make to with what you got and build up and change over time.

I would LOVE to see a kitchen set up. I have no natural light in there. A fridge right behind me that reflects my overhead light. The one thing I've liked about these videos recently is it feels very doable for anyone to setup a couple of things, and just film. Used to, I would find all sorts of excuses not to film/record content due to the stuff I did/didn't have, and that's why I've added a couple things to my space to make it very effortless to make content.

It just hurts when the face suddenly disappears. It gets hard to build that human to human connection again.
