My father was working this kind of job in our home country Bosnia and Herzegovina. There was a lot of land mines left all around from the Civil War. I always thought of him as the bravest man of the world and our hero. Unfortunately, this same kind of job took his life at the end of 2012. Everyone had huge respect for him and he always had a generous smile on his face. Počivaj u miru tata, volim te 🩷

It's insane to think that bombs that have been rusting in the ground for more than 100 years are still potentially functional. Explosives are a delicate balance of chemicals, it's surprising that the compounds haven't degraded to the point of uselessness after such a long time!

Sometimes the stabilisers decay fast and you end up with a super powerful explosive. Good stuff

So the WW1 bombs may not only be undetonated and dangerous, but still potentially have mustard gas on them is even more terrifying. One hell of a brave profession.

This is a perfect example of consequences from the past generations giving zero F for the future of human kind. And today we are doing almost the same, main difference is air pollution and not shells(yet!). We can change, but we don't want to. I wish these people all well for doing the job I would not want to do.

In Vietnam, many peacetime mine explosion deaths have been caused by practicing cưa bom, which means neutralizing unexploded bombs without professional equipment or protection suits. The origin of cưa bom can be traced back to the Vietnam War when guerillas tried to collect and dispose of ammunition to get explosives and covers as raw material. During the postwar era (1980s-1990s), many veterans (or farmers) became thrift collectors who preferred gathering left-behind weapons to earn more. Their miserableness was the driving force to practice this, despite their lives being at risk.

I hope the bombsuits are redesigned to have passive or active exoskeletona to be easier on the backs of the users. Just wild, I.can undestand Laos and Vietnam havinf lots.of unexplodee bombs, it was just around 50 years agi. But having to diffuse century old munitions speak of How brutal ww1 shelling was.

Wow, you guys actually kind of listened to my critisim (voiced in the top comment on the "How a Tiny Japanese Workshop Makes Guitars For Rock Icons" video) and made a good video, like in the old days. A lot of french, an alright amount of English, good subtitles and the people working there telling us what they do and how they do it. Thank you! The next step is to stop uploading random compilations of old videos (which I wouldn't mind if you'd bump with community posts instead) and start producing more original, high quaility content. The last month of videos on your channel has been only compilations (and that one New York Christmas video, which just screamed consumerism), and that saddens me.

The longer the international community ignores russian imperialism in Europe, the more of these battlefields will be created worldwide as everyone renews their thirst for the lands of others.
