thank you so much! now that we have done this injection for soft tissues, what nerve does numb the actual hard tissue (bone)? I mean the palate bone?

Regarding the anatomy of GP foramen which angle should the bevell of la needle be and how can you verify that needle has hit the foramen? I am final year bds student from pakistan
@OnlineExodontia Жыл бұрын
You just need to be over the foremen, not into it. The bevel orientation won’t affect the success of the injection. All the best!

I have had 2 palate injections to take 2 tooth out for braises. And 2 injections on the opposite of the tooth so all in 4 injections. But the palate ones definitely the worst. Pushing and some twisting to get it into the palate for me no numbing gel. I am from the uk.

Depends on the patient / procedure. I will typically deposit ~.5ml if doing an extraction, less if I need to anesthetize for a clamp. All the best!

Is it acceptable to deposit LA over the entrance of the GP Foramen rather than just anterior to it? Also what would be your anesthetic of choice?
@OnlineExodontia Жыл бұрын
Certainly you can - there is a V2 block where one actually traverses this canal. I use a variety of anesthetics based on the procedures I'm doing. My most used anesthetic is Articaine 4% 1-200,000. This is for the day to day dentistry, but we also stock Lidocaine, Bupivicaine, Xylocaine, and Polocaine. All the best!

Do u use P AMSA technique for multiple treatments? In theory u could block hemimaxilla with only PSA and P AMSA though i never tried this.
@OnlineExodontia3 жыл бұрын
I don't use this injection and have never taken this approach. I would assume this would not be adequate for significant procedures and you'd be better off with a high-tuberosity approach V2 block (basically a deeper PSA block). All the best!

@@OnlineExodontia indeed i ve looked it up just now and it is false info inspired by economic reasons ( the Wand)Same for the so called Palatal ANSA block. Some major authoities in the field are still promoting these…
