Can we talk about how fucking awesome it is that you get AIR SUPPORT? In the base game you are permantly on your own ... against all odds. This really meaningful, cause it gives the feeling that you are not alone.

The boss is built around the concept of you having that fire support. I'll grant the full-party stress cleave, similar to the Sleeper, is a little uninspired, but everything else about this boss fight is rad as Hell.

Explaining the build: Leper is equipped with "Clockwork Heart" trinket, that buffs his Damage by 20% and Speed by 4 on every successful attack, but he loses 5HP and gets +15% Damage Taken debuff. These side effects are manageable thanks to his loyal companions: Man at Arms and Houndmaster. Leper is also sick with "Ghoul Plague" that increases his damage by 15% and accuracy by 8 when healed by Occultist with "Ghoulserum Injection" trinket. Even 0 heals are welcome! Pause to see his stats before the final blow: 5:21

@A_literal_pebble Call it The Darkest Dungeon of Fear & Hunger, or DDFH for short. You'd get four new character classes, Outlander, Dark Priest, Knight, and Mercenary, or more for things like Moonless or the skeletons, Blood Golems and Ghouls you can summon. Provisions like Opium and other drugs to increase sanity at the cost of potential addiction. Different Curios and traps and enemies abound

There’s something very intimidating about this boss, not just the fact that it’s a sandwurm that has 3000 health, but also the fact that 1) it’s the only boss I’ve seen that clues you into its true size by coiling itself around the screen and needing airship cannons to take down and 2) unlike most Darkest Dungeon enemies, you fight it in broad daylight. It is nothing less than the fury of the desert itself.

There's so much more stuff and it's much more complicated. Complete Darkest Dungeon with Crimson Court enabled, if you have it of course, on the normal difficulty before you consider playing this mod, but I assure you, it's worth it.

Disgusting how? The Wildlanders bare themselves to show their courage, and the Levantine run the full gamit from fully armoured to dressed for the heat. Meanwhile there's no fanservice at all with the Trogs. Yes, the overall tone isn't the all-encompassing hopelessness of vanilla, and the character designs reflect that, but the hamlet is where the Heart and the Ancestor's experiments reside. It _should_ be the most depressing place on Earth, and anywhere else feels like a holiday by comparison. If everywhere was as bad as the hamlet, the world would've been destroyed long ago. If anything, I think the implication that there might actually be something worth saving elsewhere in the world reinforces the original's rug-pull ending. You're doing yourself a disservice by being scared of a little booba and a few six-packs. BR is exceptional and there's so much cool shit to discover.
