I find it very ironic that the first person the Janissary challenges is the Highwayman, his counterpart.

Ngl I find this fight very satisfying. The way that the heroes and the Duelist dance between ranks while their companions fight againts eachother is honestly really well done. I managed to win this fight with a Vestal-Bounty Hunter-Highwayman-Hellion team. Once again, a REALLY good fight.

I had to retreat at my first try at him. He kept duelling my vestal and she almost died the first time. So what did I do? I brought BONK vestal the next time haha.

great minds think alike, i did pretty much the same but with a crusader instead of flag for the self mark and prot to bait archers, also for desperate healing

Well after i lost two heroes to him and fled in defeat… I did this setup:jester, jester, dredge and flag. Knowing how much dodge he has, I made sure that I will put every accuracy buff possible haha, two lion’s eye on camp and spam battle ballad ever do often. I managed to kill this shitty bastard easily this time hahahah, since he couldn’t dodge my dredge’s hellblast with 180 accuracy hahhaha

@@kvassmacncheese It seems you missed one important mechanic of the boss. During the duel, the hero fighter that has a death mark, has a very high chance to hit the boss while other heroes can't. So you put a riposte from MAA skill on a player who is dueling and you get much more damage per round. Like Vestal fighting in the video.

@@single-player ohhh hahahah, sorry might have mixed it up in the way I described it. My first encounter was disastrous and I lost two heroes to this fxcking stickman. (I decided to escape since at that point I knew I couldn’t defeat him)And as you’ve said, I did miss out the mechanic that the one hero he, the boss, is dueling would have very high chance on hitting back. But even with that I made a team to give him a dishonorable death on my second encounter haha. Double jester that constantly buffs my accuracy with the additional buff of the camping skills, plus accuracy trinket on all my heroes… My Janissary died a dishonorable death, with me having 4 heroes constantly hitting him hahahah haha. I guess I forgot the part where the Captain told me that i should give the boss “An honorable death” hahahahahahah

How do you get some unique stuff for class like your vestal ?

There is chance of those trinkets to drop after any battle. Odds are higher in Veteran and Champion expeditions. I played that campaign for 100+ weeks, IIRC so I had plenty of trinkets.

No night time ambush prevention? Would you still fight the boss were you gotten ambushed?

With all the damage buffs, ambush is usually manageable. If something goes wrong and I lose too much health, then I start another campfire to restore health - I have extra firewood in inventory for that case.

Really good but is practically needed in exposed interior if you don’t want to be losing someone.
