One thing that I do like about the tempo scene is that it seems like he’s actually trying to give him a chance before he decides to destroy his entire life. It’s like he’s internally saying to himself “hang on. Don’t go crazy just yet.”

My favourite movie of his is not as well known as some, Jacob the liar, about living under the Nazis during world war 2, it has humor and is so touching and sad too. It really is a beautiful film and deserves a wider audience

To be honest, with the fresh prince of bel air, I would've personally chose the 'I don't need him' scene. Where Will denounces his dad for abandoning him, yet again, and promises that he will grow up perfectly fine without him and will be a far better man, father and husband than he would ever have been. I actually met Burgess Meredith at a fire base in Vietnam. He was the only Hollywood actor to go out to the field when I was with the Big Red One. He was the nicest person ever. He flew in by helicopter and walked right up to us in the open in a hostile area. One of the best memories of Vietnam.

In 4th grade, we all had to pick an instrument to play. Wanted to play drums like every boy but my parents said they would be too "loud", so I picked the trumpet which isn't exactly a quiet instrument! Anyway, I hated it from the get go. One morning, we were in band practice and I blew a really loud "clam". Well, the music teacher goes batshit crazy, gets red in the face and starts screaming "who did that"? I was scared to admit that it was me, although he probably knew. Never admitted it, he finally calmed down and the next day I quit the trumpet and never played an instrument in school again.

It's always roughest on drummers. It's like the intensity of the drummers' correction increases in proportion to the size of the band. And regardless of how many mistakes everyone else makes, it's always the drums who get sorted out first if they're not perfect. I played the clarinet/bass clarinet, so I had it easy.

The scene from Marley, is from the heart! The hardest thing in this world to do, is to put a pet to rest, after all the love that you have given each other. I know if had to do it twice. The crying, the tears, the heartache, is so intense, you think it will never, ever go away. When you come home the next day, and your companion, your loving best friend isn’t there. You realise a part of your heart is gone, and it will ever be there again. I have told many of my friends, who say, I can get another pet, they won’t be like him or her! They aren’t supposed to be, each pet is different in their own way, they all have different personalities. That is why we’re love each of their funny things they do, the different ways they show us they love us. And in the end, that piece of heart that you loose, is replaced by a different piece of heart, that loves just as much, just in a different way, and you’ll find a heart full of memories and many new ways to love!

Sly never gets enough credit for his acting. He may have been pushed to be a "B-list action star", but Rocky is HIS masterpiece. Not just acting, but writing. When you watch Rocky movies, you're not seeing Stallone playing Rocky Balboa. What you're seeing is Sylvester Stallone being Rocky Balboa. There are few actors who have put so much heart, mind and soul into playing a character like Sylvester Stallone did with Rocky.

I think what’s truly jarring about the “not my tempo” scene from Whiplash is that we’ve all been in a situation like that. We’re doing something new, in a room we’ve never been in with people we don’t know being instructed by somebody we also don’t know. But they have this authority over us. We make mistakes and they assure us it’s okay despite the obvious frustration because “hey, I’d be frustrated too!” We’re out of our element, on edge and anxious. Normally things just work out, but after putting ourselves in Miles Tellers’ shoes for the past 30ish minutes, we watch him get a chair thrown at his head, he gets screamed at and threatened, and we feel that shake of disbelief.

Fresh Prince may not be the best acted or scripted among these clips but its amazing to hear the mutterings of the studio audience. You can feel the electricity as the realisation sets in that this is serious and the actors are going for it. Wonderful Live performance which the movies cant replicate.

I watched Steve Jobs recently and holy crap the acting and dialogue in that film is fantastic! As much as I love Michael Fassbender, I feel like no one gives Seth Rogen enough credit in this film cause he absolutely killed it! He should've been nominated for Best Supporting Actor!

that fresh prince scene, i like when sitcoms do serious, there was a sitcom in the uk, only fools & horses, probably the best loved sitcom in British tv history, that did that. could go from having you crying from laughing so much to crying with sadness in seconds then back again. it was a sitcom but in certain episodes they dealt with things like miscarriage, death in the family, being attacked etc, & the acting, funny or serious was always top quality.

Dang it! Thank you so friggin much for a great 23.14 minutes of my life! And for bringing some scenes and actors no one ever shows as 'the best'. I am not so keen on Stallone as an actor (apart from Copland), but together with his coach they are so... real. Joe Pesci in this movie I never heard of....magnificent!! Dont get me started on TSN and Garfield/Eisenberg..thats total brilliance. Same goes for Robin Williams & those boys, and ofcourse for Michael Fassbender, dear God yes!, but also Seth Rogen seriously holding his ground in this scene. Keepin' it so real! But the one who keeps a dry eye with the Marley scene with Owen Wilson, is , well....inhumane. I loved that scene, that dog and that acting so much. Its like a scene from everybody's veterinarian room, when they have to say goodbye to their treasure of an animal....

Screaming on scene is one of the most difficult thing to do because actors have microphone near them and they must have a excellent command of their voices to make the scream right That is what an acting teacher tells me
