Wish they made this on DVD like they did with the PBS special Baseball 9 innings film by Ken Burns ⚾️

This video did such a tremendous job of maxing out the suspense factor in each series they showed. Between the background music they had going (those heavy violins for the Phils during the 77 NLCS) and the interviews of players and managers drilling into you about how intense it was. Sparky going on about how the LCS is a tragedy! This video was not for the faint of heart or for people who wanted a pleasant sugar-coated version of historic games. They were not afraid to showcase hearts being broken here and how nightmarish it was for the losers of these series. And I loved every minute of it. I'm not really a fan of Warner Fusselle's narration because I think it sounds a bit whimsical and I hate how he mispronounces "short-lived" but he does a solid job here. Len Cariou is more my guy when it comes to baseball documentary narration.

There needs to be a sequel to this MLB. Oh yeah first.

I was thinking why didn't they include RIck Monday's HR in the 81 NLCS? But this video goes over the greatest series, not just one particular game of a series. If that were the case, this video be an hour longer than it is!

Hall of Fame baseball voice Jack Buck made the 2 greatest calls in 1985 1 Smith corks in right down the line it may go Go crazy folks Go crazy it's a home run and the cardinals have won the score of 3-2 2 Swing and a long one to left field adios good bye and maybe that's a winner a 3 homer by Clark and the cardinals lead by the score of 7-5 & they may go to the world series on that one folks

I see that the end is not included, so I could not see the copyright date. It looks like the latest action included is from 1991. So is that when this film was made?

The latest series they really documented on the video was the 1992 NLCS. Francisco Cabrera/Sid Bream was their grand finale. But in the closing credits (not shown here), it also showed Kim Baptiste's walk off double for the Phillies in the 1993 NLCS.
