I saw Dame Edna on Broadway and it was such a charming show. I'll never forget how much my mouth hurt from all the laughing and giggling I did that night. I had to go back and see the show again and it was just as funny the second time. I've loved her ever since. RIP Barry. The USA loved you very much!!

How I will miss that opening "Hello Possums'. So uniquely Barry and such a wonderful greeting to those who live in the South Pacific. Nowhere else in the world would understand the humour and the chat that Barry brought to the stage. The world will miss him, but none more so than those from Australia and New Zealand. I never wanted this day to come but it has indeed arrived. I first saw the Dame on the Joan Rivers talk show back in 1987/88 and was immediately hooked. I grasped the humor immediately and would take every chance offered me to watch anything the Dame was doing at the time. I saw his Broadway show back in 1999/2000 five times. I convulsed with laughter and was over the moon seeing one of my favorite comedians live for the very first time. I saw his 2nd Broadway show back in 2006 and waited for him back stage to get his autograph and thank him for his gift of laughter he provided. I alway rearranged the activities in my life to be available to watch the Dame. RIP my dear Dame.......
