The sweet gem berries are likely inedible and can't be processed because they're so difficult to get and can be traded for a stardrop. Plus, making them into wine might just be too OP. A couple dozen bottles of iridium gem berry wine with the artisan perk would pretty much break the economy.

And we all know M. Jasper is the Mona referrenced in the graveyard and she was one of 3 adventurers who founded Stardew Valley along with Linus, her heartbroken lover. Her tale is tragic but not as much as Linus' as he is chided and derided by most of the townsfolk. Big ups to Gus for being one of the few citizens who see Linus as a human being. Linus truly is the best of all the stardew citizens with the saddest story. The man basically owns the town and is homeless!

@@sashaenglebert there are many videos im sure but follow the story of Linus and M Jasper and Rasmodeus between friendships for the 2 living and they (along with the story reveals within the museum library) and of course careful and well timed observations of the town and it's inhabitants to see for yourself. The story of stardew is deep and rich. Like did you know that Rasmodeus the Wizard ended a war between the shadows and the dwarves before the establishment of the town? Many things are to be found in this deep and enriching game. Truly one of the greatest of all time and shall remain so for a long time.

In a battle between Qi and the Wizard, i think Mr Qi would win. Sure, the wizard has magic, but Qi can just see everything. Plus, he presumably has gone down deep in the skull caverns, and so he probably has some good fighting experience.

Actually I think I saw a video on why the door is there. It was most likely by accident. when looking at the files, the scenery pictures like doors, trees etc, are all on the same pages. That particular door and the tree next to it are next to each other on the page. Probably dragged it on when putting the tree in place

M. Jasper theory: Marlon is M. Jasper. This is because M. Jasper knows a lot about the world and Marlon has an eye patch he probably got that eye patch during an exploring event while he was trying to learn more information about the world and when he got the eye patch he decided to settle down in the adventurers guild far away where he could hide his identity far away in the mountains. Also Gil is probably tired all the time because his whole life he was probably Marlon's adventurer buddy and he explored a lot. And the M in M. Jasper sounds a lot like Marlon. Marlon Jasper?? 🤔

I have the feeling that the last update even lowered some dropchances from items. As long as I didn't bring the rabbit foot to the truck, I had mostly unlucky days, even on best luck days. Like stones in 20 out of 35 omni geodes. Year 2 is slowly ending and I haven't got the strange capsule yet, and I haven't found the dwarwen scroll Nr.1 yet, always just 2 3 and 4.

My head cannon about the Wizard and Mr Qi is that they used to be lovers... Long before we came to Pelican Town, the Wizard and Witch were together. She forgave him for his indiscretions with a woman in the valley and gave him the option to turn her into a dove [to "get rid of the problem"]. When the Wizard refused, she accepted this and they tried to rekindle their marriage. The Wizard later met a man enthused with science and admired his passion. They soon became close and the Wizard even used magic to help advance Mr Qi''s knowledge. They started having more than an emotional affair and the Wizard began his plot to leave the Witch. Somehow, the Witch finds out about the affair and in a fit of rage, she gives the Wizard an ultimatum to either choose his daughter or Mr Qi. He chooses his daughter and breaks things off with Mr Qi. This devastated Mr Qi and years later he started plotting his revenge by slowly industrializing the town [JOJA] overtaking the spots where forest magic once thrived. He uses his surveillance cameras to watch as the Wizard struggles to keep the forest magic alive. Meanwhile, the Witch, who has turned green and ugly with envy, forgoes her previous promise to leave his daughter alone. However, instead of destroying the Wizard's daughter, she instead does something worse, she uses a spell to make the wizard forget which child she is. This why the Wizard has a watch tower in the valley, so that he not only can try to salvage what is left of the forest magic, but so that he can keep an eye on the the villagers that might be his daughter without involving regular humans directly. - This is my mental backstory I play in my games :P

I'm curious about the stars of welwick oracle, livin off the land and the Queen of sauce. We meet Welwick once at the valley fair, and it's implied her and Rosmodeus were old friends. But whats the deal with the other two? The farmer on livin off the land knows alot about the valley but never appears there. The queen of sauce also knows alot about the valley if her recipes are full of stuff we can grow or fish or forage here. Why do Welwick and the farmer look normal but she's a twisted pile of arms floating in the sky? I'd love a mod or a whole new dlc where you can become an apprentice to one of them or something and travel by train across the mountains to visit them, learn now things and explore new areas. Honestly Stardew Valley has built the foundations for a pretty extensive world. ConcernedApe works on these mostly alone, but I hope he continues to make games and add content for years to come - his work is a gift lmao

The winter door is there year around. It's just blocked by the leaves on the tree. Apparently the door is next to the tree on the right inside the tilesheet and must have been copied with the tree when he placed it. My theories for why the dinos never grow up 1. Extreme sexual dimorphism. Since all the dinosaurs we hatch lay eggs, we can assume they're all female. Well, what if Pepper Rexes just look very different depending on whether they're male or female? The ones seen in the Skull Cavern are all male, and since they drop eggs, it could be assumed that the males of this species do all the parenting, and it would make sense that they're larger and stronger to protect eggs and young. The females might just be there so eggs can happen. 2. The dinosaur we hatch is not a Pepper Rex at all. Maybe the ones we hatch are a separate species that's a nest parasite of the Pepper Rex. They dispose of actual Pepper Rex eggs and replace them with their own to trick the stronger Pepper Rexes into raising their young. That's why they never grow into adult Pepper Rexes, because they were never Pepper Rexes to begin with. Which do you think is more likely?

Many keep saying Abigail is the wizards daughter simply by hair color but that’s not true and Caroline confirms it herself. She says Abigail’s hair is dyed and she used to have her hair color the same as Pierre’s by the way she described it. Abigail’s original hair color IS brown. It’s not naturally purple.

Carolines a bit of a liar so shouldnt be trusting her word especcially with the wizards guess one of the residents is his daughter and caroline admitting she used to talk walks to the wizards tower by herself and doesnt want pierre knowing. That and the wizards wife left him due to a mistake he made. It all lines up to her cheating,realizes several years down the road her child is starting to develop his hair dyes it that color than trys to gaslight said child about it being dyed

Before we can even talk about the Mobile Update (which CA already tweeted saying it is coming) I wanna know when is the Cowboy Poncho bug getting fixed. (context: the outfit is supposed to be dyeable but there's an error in the assets so dyeing it does nothing, which is easy to fix on PC but we can't do squat about it on console)

If you talk to Caroline she'll admit that she had a dream about a handsome stranger with purple hair and they definitely hooked up, a little while later Abigail was born. So that is in fact not a mystery in the slightest. 👀 As for Jas, that seems pretty self-explanatory too. She's mayor Lewis's daughter. Marnie and Lewis have been seeing each other for a number of years, so she's definitely his daughter.

A couple problems with the latter. Jas is established as Marnie's niece, and apparently Shane is the godfather. I doubt Shane would come from where ever to help raise her if she were the secret byproduct of a love affair, plus I get the feeling his depression is due at least in part to loosing his close friends. Jas would be like a daily reminder of what happened.

@@ZombieBarioth Calling her a 'niece' is a pretty good cover though isn't it? Shane was only supposed to be staying with Marnie temporarily from what I remember from the conversations that I had with her. He was there for work, Joja Mart until we get it shut down or go with it and the community center gets turned into a warehouse and he just keeps working there. You can doubt whether or not he would help her while he is temporarily staying with her, but he is just being nice as far as I can tell, not really 'raising her' per say.

I go for the mushroom cave too. It's just more consistent, pays better early in the game and late game it doesn't matter. Also the fruit bats never give me the fruit I need for the bundles so I plant the trees anyway.
