When I was school going boy of 9th class in 1967, I heard name of Sobers as great player. During the period only Test matches were being played. Today I am 71 yrs. This video recall me past in 1967 when I knew about Sobers. Thanks for making this video.

When he retired, Gary Sobers was the highest run maker in test cricket and was the fourth highest wicket taker in test cricket and second highest catch taker (among non wicket keepers) in test cricket. He was a complete batsman and a complete bowler. His score of 365 not out remained the highest individual test score for several devades. He could bowl left arm fast, left arm orthodox spin as well as left arm wrist spin and Chinaman . He was the first batsman who hit six sixes in an over in first class cricket.

Sir Gary was one of rare few who could bowl fast medium and also switch to his spin and chinaman in addition to his great batting skill. For long time he was the highest run getter in Test with 364runs to his credit. Not to mention his car driving skill and speed, which has terrified some of our earlier cricketers who were in car. They literally had their heart in mouth as he raced along. True and Great sportsman and in allrounders category, he is eadily on top. .
