This song is full of callbacks to previous Sleep Token tracks and is the "end" of the trilogy. It ties the story together and is a song of melancholy and acceptance. They have yet to play it live; they might wait to do so at the end of their tour as a fitting closer. "No, by now The night belongs to you (< "The Night Does Not Belong to God") This bough has broken through (< "When The Bough Breaks") I must be someone new" (< Indicating this might be the end of Sleep Token as we know it, all speculation of course as nothing is confirmed, and the band is very mysterious) The ending to Euclid has the same melody and lyrics as "The Night Does Not Belong to God", which is on their first full-length album "Sundowning", coming full circle. The line that relates the most to Euclid, the father of geometry, would be: " Yet in reverse, you are all my symmetry A parallel I would lay my life on" It's interesting to note that Vessel makes a lot of references to chemistry and science in general throughout Sleep Token's discography. Thanks for the reaction; I hope to see more Sleep Token on the channel! Worship :)

Great message! The Night That Does Not Belong To God is my favorite Sleep Token so Euclid is a close 2nd! My favorite Vessel reference the Science and Chemistry is “Stuck in a Quantum Pattern” from Blood sport.

@@JohnnyGingy Blood Sport is so heartbreakingly beautiful. I really admire how Vessel's writing manages to convey emotions in such an intelligent yet poetic way. I am smitten with Aqua Regia, it's a lyrical masterpiece in my opinion. Love that Sleep Token connects to so many people :)

As an aditional detail, the lyrics of "The Night Does Not Belong to God" in Euclid correspond to a section of the song where the melody is originally "gliched".

Euclid also means a copy of the same. if you follow the story from "The Night Does Not Belong To God" then the copy of ones self makes a bunch of sense throughout THIS album.
@GioFireheart

One last also, as the art for the song suggests, I think Euclid also illustrates the idea that sometimes you have to destroy your old self to becomes something more. Perhaps not as a copy of the same, but as an evolution of the same

@@GioFireheart lyrics from ascensionism and TMBTE: "You're gonna watch me ascend" "I need you to see me for what I have become" so i agree with you. growinging and learning makes us different from who we were yesterday. theres a quote i came across in the past "in this world there are 1 million people with that have met 1 million different versions of me"

@@GioFireheartWhat’s cool is Euclid’s ending there, that melody, it not only is in a different key, but is played slightly differently then in TNDNBTG. And that’s intentional. So evolution is 100% the right word - it displays growth

as a musician, you know a song has you when you immediately need to learn how to play it. I love this band. And I really hope this isn't the end for them. This song wraps up an album concept trilogy. This song makes many callbacks to songs in previous records, and themes throughout all 3 records.

There are many videos which are titled "reaction video". In fact, way too many of them are not real reactions since you can see that the reacting person already knows the song, or at least the band and their musical style etc. In your videos we can see and hear what "reacting" really means. Every gesture, every blink of his eyes is triggered by his emotions resulting from the music and we can see what almost each note evokes. This is real, this is authentic. Thank you guys. But now, proceed, Richard ;-)

So my basic understanding of the song is that it is a farewell of a sense. I listened to the album the minute it dropped from beginning to end and there are quite a few songs that are personal and aren't sleep related, ie nothing about worship, no tokens to sleep, which is a bit unusual compared to they're previous albums as well as One & Two. He's passing the mantle to the fans, he's saying his time is done. Now that could mean as a musician entirely, OR, it could be this chapter of his life he's passing on. I believe the latter idea is supported do to the fact that they all got entire new get ups 6 months after the album dropped, which would just be an odd move if this was I fact the end of Sleep Token.

Theory question - the end of the song. That piano melody (you can hear it better in “The Night Does Not Belong to God” in Sundowning)… it sounds kind of like an alarm or siren… yet it’s so soothing. Is it the note intervals, repetitive nature, or rhythm that has that effect? (Or is it just me?)
