Planes, like pilots will rust if not taken out on a regular basis....thanks for the excellent video Scooter....❤

I didn't even consider the pilot. That's so true, I needed to get up too!

I like winter flying and hitting the old under used airports, come north Scooter
@GreatMichiganBushCo11 ай бұрын
I would like to come north, it's tough to find the weather windows and time so far this winter. If the straights start to freeze I'd sure like to head up that way.

I’m pretty sure I’ve watched you take off while eating lunch in my car

If you've been watching planes take off at Troy, you've probably watched me take off.

I made it to Romeo. That's where I found my son with the other airplane. It was really enjoyable to meet him and go flying with him.

How should I go about finding training for sport pilot? Thanks!
@GreatMichiganBushCo10 ай бұрын
Go to the nearest airport and start asking questions. You will find a flight instructor who will be more than happy to take you up on a discovery flight. After that they will be more than happy to explain the process to you. If you're in the Detroit area stop into Oakland Troy airport.
@DanS-dc5vu10 ай бұрын
@@GreatMichiganBushCo Thank you. I am very close to that airport. It seems like all the programs are geared towards private pilot based on internet search. I did a discovery flight over 2 years ago and have since realized sport pilot would be much more realistic based on cost and lack of AME
@GreatMichiganBushCo10 ай бұрын
@@DanS-dc5vu the availability of sport sport aircraft can be a problem. You don't find many for rent since they are limited by the number of pilots who want to rent an aircraft that falls into the sport category. At one point Troy had a skycatcher available but I don't believe they're renting that any longer. If you don't have any medical issues, look into basic med as a way to limit the number of trips to an AME while flying is a private pilot. The requirements between private pilot and sports pilot from a training standpoint are minimal.
