Another enjoyable vid. Poor Jess. From 14:20 she's really concerned about spilling that tea. Reminds me of my wife and our trips lol. :) Heading out to Esperance via Hyden shortly, for a couple weeks of camping.

Another Gr8 video guys. Be keen to see what you think of the Alucab RTT, its comfort level, dust and water sealing. Could you also do a quick review of the attachment you have on your spare to transport your gas bottle? Did you have it fabricated to suit? It looks a clever way to store it, but is it deemed acceptable by MainRoads WA? I reckon Mr Plod here in Vic might take issue to it, but because it is so high up it might be ok.
@great_offroad_adventures5 жыл бұрын
Yeah we will indeed sit down and give you our thoughts on the Alucab - it really impressed us, the only con we have is the weight. No one has taken issue with the gas bottle holder yet, it’s coming up on 3yrs worth of use too 😁.....custom made/ diy so not much I can offer in the way of a review, but maybe I can find the plans I drew up & share them.

Ozbox Fires - Concise Engineering. Jess got it made for me as a birthday present 🎁, make sure you let them know where you saw though....they are a small local Perth company, so happy to support them where possible.

How did you find the extra weight on the roof? The Alu-Cab RTT, shadow awning and ensuite attachments would have put 110-120kg on the roof rack. Did you notice much difference on road cornering and on off-camber and uneven tracks?
@great_offroad_adventures5 жыл бұрын
100% - could definitely feel the weight, could feel the aerodynamic drag of it too in a straight line, could feel it through the corners, didn’t get to do too much hard core off camber stuff, but with my experience of other rooftop tents, I would say it wouldn’t have felt very pleasant. It’s the one con of what was otherwise an awesome tent

Where did the canopy on the Amarok come from?
@great_offroad_adventures5 жыл бұрын
It’s an RSI Canopy - Kiran’s not far from pretty much finishing the build, once he’s done I might do a walk around video of his Amarok for the channel

How did you get into your tent with the awning deployed? It looks like you enter the tent from the rear?
@great_offroad_adventures5 жыл бұрын
Cover photo shows - tent has a door on each side & so we get in opposite side to the awning
@terryking24775 жыл бұрын
Great Off-Road Adventures - Graham Reinders Cool. I have a Bundutop electric roof topper on my 200 and love it. When you are doing your research for a new tent I would add that one to your list if it’s not there already.
