Greatroom Tour // new rug, curtains and cabinet this month!

I am finally ready to show you my greatroom (as they call it on the house plan) ... it is small like the rest of my house.. but large enough for me... in fact, I'd say it is perfect for me, and I like the cabin-like feel of having a small home. I guess my biggest problem with it is that I'm likely to make it too crowded with furnishings... I have to be very careful about what I allow in.
This month I made some improvements with new curtain rods, curtains, and a large rug, and a new kitchen cabinet I put together myself. It is starting to look very home-like in here. I still need a dining table, chairs, and a recliner or two. I don't think there will be room for a sofa. There is no TV. I've just been watching TV on my computer using Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Paramount Plus. I like to watch reality TV shows mainly including Masterchef, various real estate shows like House Hunters, and Survivor. I'm hoping also to get a big TV again, like the one I had before the forest fire that destroyed my previous home. Well, it is all in a state of change so if I'm able to get better furniture I might make another greatroom video to show you the improvements.
Did you notice that my ottoman is a packing bin with a pillow on top? Maybe I'll get a better one someday... but I'm happy to just have a nice home to read in, and a place to rest and be comfortable while I read. It is so much better than living in a travel trailer, but we do what we must and the travel trailer for three years was a great blessing under the circumstances.
Getting furniture out here in the boonies (middle of a forest) isn't as easy as it sounds, but I'm sure it will all come together in time. My efforts to get a dining table and chairs have been fruitless, but my brother might bring me one that used to belong to my mother, years ago.
