2008 Takanuva is one of my all time favorite sets, wish I still had it. Definitely one I'll invest in when I've got the money to spend on it. If you're looking to do the gold/white color scheme for him, duckbricks sells some 3d printed pearl gold versions of all his armor.

i have 2008 takanuva! he is very stable and honestly a lot better built than a lot of titans like brutaka and maxilos. however, i really wish his mask was less BIG lol like his head is so much bigger than all my other bionicle

Absolutely love Chirox, the mask hits that balance of wise and menacing really well and the arm parts are some of my favorite Bionicle parts. Got myself 2 Nuparu Mari sets just so I could get myself more of these joint pieces because the of the unmatched flexibility for unique poses and weapon designs.

2008 was a great year for Star Wars. 2006 was a rough year, 2007 was still wahing off some of that funk, but it was better, but 2008 was a return to form because new Star Wars in the form of The Clone Wars meant new sets, and that's exactly what we needed! There were still a couple revamps, but they felt justified, and they tied into what was happening with Clone Wars, so they were relevant, too. *5. 10186: General Grievous* It feels weird throwing another big collector's item at the bottom of the list, but for everything this set does right, there's a couple things to bring it back down, however it still makes the list because General Grievous is really well represented here. He's kind of a mix of the Technic figures from 2000-2002, and sculpture models made for other collector's items in other themes, so he's to scale with all the other Star Wars characters if you owned them, but he's able to get more of the details that were abstracted before with Technic. The main problem with the set is that while he has articulation, he's also frustratingly static and very top heavy. The shoulders and elbows are stiff, but they an rotate, every bit of the legs are stiff (and they're parallel, so no cool stance can be made), except the hips, which is where the model really needs stability, and if you're not careful, he'll just bend in half, fall over, and there's nothing you can do. This can be mitigated however with some complex clear bricks jammed in the pelvis and you can lock him into more of a hunched position, making him more menacing and a better display piece, and that's why General Grievous still makes the list. They did such a good job designing him, he just needed a couple of tweaks. *4. 7670: Hailfire Droid and Spider Droid* While not technically a battle pack, this is a great army builder, with a great representation of the Hailfire Droid (albiet quite small for what it should be), and a greatly improved Spider Droid design from its previous iteration in 2005's 7528: Wookiee Attack. My main issue with the set stems mostly from the fact that the box art is clearly depicting the battle of Geonosis, while the droids are more in line with their counterparts from everywhere else, so sadly no Sand Red or Dark Orange, and certainly not metallic blue for the Super Battle Droid, however, that doesn't make this set bad because it's not really trying to be a representation of that battle, but just be used everywhere for The Clone Wars (although that brown definitely gives me more of a Geonosis vibe). *3. 7668: Rebel Scout Speeder* So for some reason, I guess people liked 7667: Imperial Dropship more because it got the 20th Anniversary revamp in 2019, but I actually like the Rebel Scout Speeder more because it looks and feels more Star Wars, and this was the first time that we got the bevested Rebels from the beginning of A New Hope! The helmet was new, and the added detail from the black visors was ingenious because while not the most accurate in shape, you could swap in any other color you wanted to denote rank even though that's not how that works in the lore, but there was that added level of play. Plus, this speeder could separate into a turret and then the rest of the thing, which is way better than that silly little platform being left behind the Imperials. *2. 7674: V-19 Torrent* Well it's about time they made one of these! I was so happy to see them crossover to the 3D Clone Wars from the original 2D Clone Wars, and then I was really excited to see it become a set. The function is fantastic. Rotate the technic axle into alignment with the central wing, pick it up, and the whole thing retracts its landing gear and all three wings rotate into place. This also introduced me to the concept that the ball sockets could fit 3x3 round things, which is a great flex in MOCing. The ship does only look its best from its right side because of that central wing being plates instead of bricks, but that makes it nice and sturdy. The real downside is that there's no way to leave it displayed in attack mode short of building up a mountain of clear bricks to stand it up, which is what I did, but if there was a secondary locking mechanism, that would not be bad. *1. 7676: Republic Attack Gunship* Yeah that's right, 7675: AT-TE Walker didn't even make the list! Look, they're both good sets, and the Gunship is equally as empty with both sets really needing more clones to be worth your while, but you can do that with the Clone Battle Packs to come in the next few years. What gives the Gunship the edge to be in the lead and then soar to the top of the list are the figures. Phase I Commander Cody, Clone Wars Obi-Wan, Plo Koon for the first time, and Asajj Ventress, whose design here would be exclusive to this set. On top of that, there was an option to customize the noseart with the provided stickers to be the 212th's Crumb Bomber with a Kowakian Monkey-Lizard and the caption "Laugh this off" or the 501st's Lucky Lekku with pinup art of a Twi'lek in Clone Armor. There wasn't a clean version, but ever since Arc Troopers from 2D Clone Wars introduced the concept of nose art (and a full blown color scheme change), the 3D Clone Wars grabbed even more inspiration from World War II and went nuts with all kinds of nose art for the Gunships. There was also an included speeder bike, bacta tank, and a command station, and compartments to hold all of Cody's extra accessories he'd never need because he only wears a visor and uses a DC-17 blaster, but that's fine, you can deck out the additional Clone in all that other stuff. There may not be bubble turrets, but they were rarely seen in the show, absent in the movie, and their removal also meant the doors could close all the way, which is something even modern gunships struggle to do anyway, so that's also a big win. If there's one major complaint I have, it's that there were not two pilots included, there weren't even enough regular clones to fill both cockpits, but again, that's something that can be fixed with future sets. This was the flagship set of the year, and it delivered. It was well worth the $120 pricetag at the time even though it was still being said to be $10-$20 overpriced.

Your memory with Bittle is very similar to mine with Mantax. I was in Yellowstone in 2007 and we where at a Walmart getting stuff for dinner. I found one lonely mantax with a bunch of Toa Mahri sets, I ended up convincing my grandparents to get me Mantax and Hydraxon. I was so happy. Even though Hydraxon was the better of the two, I really loved Mantax, I still have Mantax built to this day, he's a little worse for wear but he stands proudly with my Spawn, Goku Black and Zamasu figures on display

My personal favorite is Antroz, he was also my very last Bionicle I've bought since at that point I had kinda outgrown Lego as a pure toy and they also became a bit too expensive for my taste (not helped by the fact that I disliked how many of the never ones looked and how little functions they had at that point) but I just really loved his color-scheme.

I had the yellow Jetrax as a kid. I decided to rebuild it a month ago and add some extra details, like system plates to cover up some of the technic beam pin holes. I made some other additions too, but not sure a few mods to an existing set would be worth submitting. Let me know what you guys think.

*BEEEN, HAAALP \ ''( ' ^')/* I am in a predicament once A-GAIN. Aand I realize now that there are quite a few cool pieces in the regular Lego sets I have - technic pieces, spikes, nails and exo-force arms (thanks for the *W I S D O M* with all that, just learned that the barraki eye piece is, well, THAT, a barraki eye piece), etc. and you know, I have a lot of those system piece sets, so, add it all up and there's a lot of good pieces I could use for CCBS MOCs, but then there's also a LOT of more regular pieces, and I would just have to put them across 4 big B O X E S (and a few smaller ones, but I've used all my sorting ones for CCBS (what I mainly build with)) andddd, yeah, I guess I might just go ahead and do that, but I have like 23+ regular LEGO sets so yeh, and I am looking through them now, and of course, some city sets and such I can leave be, there's barely anything technic related, but I have like, Scorm's Scorpion Stinger from Chima, that has a lot of technic pieces, so I'm thinking I should disassemble them, mmmaybe Also, I made these "MODs" of sets, basically re-making the set using only the pieces from the set, so like, a My Own Design(?), should that just be called a MOC? Thanks for the help, I'll go enjoy this video now!

also, someone put in a bunch of hero factory 1.0 and 2.0 for sale, alongside Takanuva (set 7135) without one shoulder pad, a foot, and the head (the mask's still there) and there's a lot there, like 50 fixated ccbs bones, 30 non fixated, a lot of plates, quite a few weapons (a lot of those blades from Nidiki (10)) and just other stuff, Masks of Corroder, Xplode, Waspix, Furno 1.0 (and also a full Stormer 1.0 except for the mask :< ) Evo from Brain Attack (I've got no Evo sets) and 4 2.0 helmets and visor things alongside at least 3 heads, and those 2.0 weapons, there's the big plate from Drilldozer, that upper body armour, orange body from Fire Lord but neither mask is present, so yeh, quite a lot, and all for 69 Euros, and of course, I *WANT IT* , but I already have a lot so I don't know if I should spend that money (I could ask to buy it as an early birthday present or something idk, but I already bought a box of CCBS for 30 Euros back in the start of December...)

also, I'm sorry, this IS quite a _bit_ I am asking, so thank you very very much in advance if you do answer, you're awesome for that
@BenCossyOfficial10 ай бұрын
@@drowned2204 MOC is a general term for any and all LEGO creations that are custom built by the individual who made it. A 'MOD' would still be considered a MOC. But also it's just semantics, they are similar words, it's up to you to use whichever you want. There's no right or wrong way to use those words in that context. If you're asking if you should or shouldn't buy something, that's really only a question you can answer. If you have the money and you want to buy it do it. If you think you can use all the pieces in future MOCs, go for it. If not maybe it's best to not buy it. Totally up to you :)
