Matoro will always be my favourite Toa, mainly for his story. Something about heroes that are unsure of themselves but are selfless anyways has always appealed to me, and Matoro is the gold standard for that archetype. It also helps that he has wonderful sets to go along with him

I like how all of the ranking screens and the honorable mention screen all had the animated G2 toa; that was definitely my favorite wave! My favorite toa would be G2 Tahu. I wasn't able to get him when those sets first came out, but I discovered Bricklinks the other month, and when I found I could buy a set of him, I was so happy! As I was putting it together my 12-year-old self was so satisfied (I'm 20 right now). He remains a fun display figure on my shelf! I also really love G2 Pohatu; his boomerrangs are so cool!

I'm having a bad day because I'm sick. I'm glad I can at least watch your amazing content. Knowing that I can watch your videos everyday is awesome. Kind of makes me want to get back into herofactory/bionicle or even star wars ultrabuilds but I just don't have the budget for it yet. Anyway keep it up mate, you're awesome.

My favorite is still Tahu Nuva, that surf board was one of the coolest things ever to me as a kid, second place is Onua Mata simply because he was my very first Bionicle (only because Tahu was sold out in that store but still), number 3 is Iruini though I'm still sad that he didn't have the same chest-piece/armor as Norik, that would have looked so cool in the dark gold, he did howerever have the better looking shoulder plates.

Committing to just 5 is hard but these are probably my top 10 (in wave order): - Onua - Lewa Nuva - Iruini - Hewkii Inika - Jaller and Hahli Mahri - Pohatu Phantoka - G2 Kopaka - G2 Tahu and Lewa “Nuva”

My top 5 in no particular order are Tahu Mata, Lewa Mata, Tahu Nuva, Toa Lhikan, and Jaller Mahri. This is purely going off of VISUAL appeal for me personally. If we were doing which CHARACTERS, based on their lore or personality it is definitely Pohatu Mata, Nuparu (Inika and Mahri), Toa Lhikan, Whenua Metru, and then Kopaka Mata. Love me the Kopaka + Pohatu friendship Edit after watching your video: Oh man, Toa Iruini is a great pick. I could easily see that on my top 5. Nuparu Inika also was a close runner up for me. SO MANY GOOD TOA

In the tradition of Ben's Top 5 and making it all about myself and Star Wars, I present the top 5 Jedi minifigures (that I own), and I'm already going to disappoint a lot of people because I'm an old curmudgeon who uses words like "curmudgeon" and has a strong affinity for the older aesthetics of minifigs. I'll be using Brickset listings to make things as clear as possible so with all this out of the way, on with the list! 5. SW0310: Luminara Unduli Clone Wars Luminara looks great, I'm a big fan of the subtle details added here with the Dark Brown printed on black. The choice for Tan was also a splendid choice for her skin, too. Not as green as her olive skin should be, but going with a green would have been too extreme. What is also really nice about this version of Luminara is that she came with goggles for a Barc Speeder in 7869 Battle of Geonosis, replicating her look in the Clone Wars episode Legacy of Terror. Great minifigure. 4. SW0051: Yoda - Sand Green I told you, I like the old stuff, and I'm not exaggerating, this is the best looking Yoda to me, and despite having his Empire Strikes Back look, he debuted in an Attack of the Clones set fighting Dooku. What it really comes down to is the color of Yoda himself. I am just not a fan of the Olive color they use nowadays. Sure, there's no printing of eyes or hair, but the head has the details sculpted into, and it's not so oversized like the Clone Wars design. And it's also the first Yoda, that's a big part of it, too, I've had him longer than most. 3. SW0027: Qui-Gon Jinn (Yellow Head) Qui-Gon Jinn is my favorite of the Jedi, and this is his best look as a minifigure. Perhaps if you used the Flesh colored replacement head for 7665 Republic Cruiser (which initially was produced with a Revenge of the Sith Obi-Wan head by mistake) on a modern body of Qui-Gon, that would be the most ideal look, modern versions of Qui-Gon make his beard far too scruffy, but also, I'm just a fan of Yellow heads. This is the only Qui-Gon for me. 2. SW0018: Luke Skywalker (Endor) If there is one minifigure with way too many minifigures, it's Luke Skywalker, and they almost all have just subtle differences, but back in 1999, there were only 3 designs: Tatooine, Pilot, and Endor. Over time various capes, prints, hair, hoods, etcetera and so forth would change, but the face remained the same, and then in 2006, he was given Episode I Obi-Wan's face and all was lost. There's just something about this face, it's Luke, always has been, and he's great. On top of that, this was the only version of Luke with a printed torso depicting his camouflage look on Endor until 2023, and the 2023 version just has way too much Olive for its own good. The way the stippling of Light Gray and Sand Green on the Dark Gray torso with the wrinkles in Black just works. While this version of Luke was not the first version I got, that was SW0021: Luke Skywalker (Tatooine), there was something about this version that really spoke to me, and it's because of that exclusivity. I love Return of the Jedi, and I love so much of what happens on Endor, and Luke in 7128 Speeder Bikes just encapsulates scenes in LEGO so well. Honorable Mentions 5. SW0284: Aayla Secura - Large Eyes To be straight forward, it's just cool to get this character, and I find her Medium Blue color here is much better than Dark Azure. The lekku were also designed to fit a Clone Wars designed face, so everything feels a bit more in balance. 4. SW0379: Barriss Offee - Dark Blue Cape and Hood Being the Clone Wars version of the character, I'm much more familiar with her, and I like just how unsure and slightly melancholic she looks, just like in the show. She's about on par with my pick for Luminara, too, but I felt I could only pick one. I love the Dark Blue, but it's not quite as versatile to me. 3. SW0538: Plo Koon (Dark Tan Undershirt) It's Plo Koon! Everything that was great about the 2008 version of him, they improved in this 2014 edition so with a solid plastic head, that printing is less likely to rub away, and the added details to his torso are appreciated. 2. SW0420: Saesee Tiin with Cape It's all about that face. I'd already gotten the Clone Wars version of the character from his Starfighter, but the Revenge of the Sith version is way better. It's all about that face, it's just so detailed and really kind of creepy, but it looks great. The set he was in, 9526 Palpatine's Arrest, was also just a great set, so he gets an extra bonus for that. 1. SW0133: Mace Windu - Trans-Light Purple Light-Up Lightsaber It's a wild card pick, I know, but this was the first version of Mace Windu we had ever gotten, and while he looks nothing like he should, and he was in a set that he had no business being in, and the light-up feature greatly limits what you can do and lets his head spin around freely, there's just something about the novelty of him. It really comes down to that lightsaber blade though. I'm telling you, Trans-Light Purple from the Clikits line is the perfect color. It's slightly cloudy, but it's the perfect translucent color for his lightsaber. The traditional Trans-Purple is way too dark, it's always looked wrong, but the light-up version makes it work. You can't even find it inventoried on BrickLink as having come in 7216 Clone Turbo Tank, the light-up version of Mace cannot be inventoried with separate pieces, but believe me, if you want a proper looking Mace, you need this version for the lightsaber blade alone. Or at least buy some Trans-Light Purple bars off BrickLink. Okay, the best Jedi Minifigure I own, taking top spot is actually one I still have a bone to pick with, too. 1. SW0759: Ahsoka Tano (Adult) - Tunic with Armor and Belt This figure is by no means perfect, the headband is a bit too high, and the Dark Orange makes Ahsoka look like a Gingerbread Cookie, but this one of the best looking versions of Ahsoka LEGO has made. There's nothing really wrong with the Clone Wars versions of the character, but I can't justify the Season 3-5 look because they warped her face into these expressions that make her useless, you have to swap in the previous version with the neutral expression, and then for Siege of Mandalore, the lekku are too long. Versions of Ahsoka from the Ahsoka series are technically correct with hoe Ahsoka has been translated to live action, but the lekku are too short for me and they print details on her arms, but there's still a lot of orange showing. But with the Rebels version of Ahsoka, it gets al the details right, and if you were to just swap in the regular orange used for the Ahsoka show version of her and hands from somewhere, this figure would be perfect. A lot to complain about for it being the best figure, but there hasn't been a better version of Ahsoka in LEGO form, there's always something I dislike more about every other version. I'm usually not a stickler for back printing, often I find it useless because it gets covered by hair or a cape or something, but 1-3 Ahsoka is missing the back of her tube top, it's pretty weird, 3-5 Ahsoka has bad facial expressions, Siege of Mandalore Ahsoka has lekku that are way too long, Ahsoka the Gray and Ahsoka the White from her own show are great, but the arm printing should have been on dual molded arms so that the wrappings of her gauntlets actually cover her arms, but Rebels Ahsoka, I can live with Gingerbread Ahsoka. Also, while she's supposed to have white lightsabers, there's something about the Trans-Medium Blue that looks really cool. Also using Ventress' hilts was a pretty nice choice, too, because her white lightsabers are curved. The Trans-Clear blades work, the regular hilts work, too, but the combination of everything in Rebels Ahsoka negates any problems I have with her. The accessories helped, and if you think that's cheating, light-up Mace Windu was almost exclusively selected because of his lightsaber color, so Ahsoka's lightsabers count here, too. Alright Ben, what else you got?! What other Constraction stuff can I warp into Star Wars talk!

Takanuva Giant (big, wrist cannon, big trident of three cool lightning saw swords, big mask, that particular gunmetal) But if he's not allowed, And I'm not going to speak of sets i don't own, Right now, Kongu Mahri (look at this squat guy with two big miniguns, he's got the posture of a roadie lugging two speakers) Hahli Inika (that white and blue is a really impressive contrast against matoro, who does look like iciness and toothpaste made manifest, while she takes it to look like white water rapids, churning seas, like she just leapt out of a water spout and she's ready to harpoon lovecraftian horrors.) Lewa Nuva (I like how his mask looks like a leaf but also his mouth is like a caterpillar's, also the air katanas became overused in my opinion, but to be fair, they're great pieces, i can see why they became so used...and admittedly it's nice to have lots.) Nuju Metru (His mask looks even more reticent than the already snipery Kopaka, this guy's mask looks like one of the knowledge towers of ko-metru, or like a 2001 obelisk. Either way, a special kind of stoic, knowledgeable, sturdy, and better than you and will outlast you, but he's not all that fussed about either of those things. And the clubs are cool and the crampon gimmick is cool too.) Tahu Master (lavaboards are cool, shields are cool, the two swords on his back compounded with the extra shoulder armour give him a cool Samurai vibe, the hero factory torso in red is nice and especially to get three of)

To me kopaka nuva looks great but is otherwise poorly designed. I consider how the shield is attached to be a huge design flaw. It makes the articulation on an already stiff character just absolutely horrible. I don’t see why they didn’t just use two of the other style arm.

I disagree with #1. I think jaller mahri is the best Toa set conceived.primarily for 3 reasons. 1. His torso and chest armor. To my knowledge these two pieces have not been utilized together (at least as a chest armor build) ever. The inikas up to the Glatorian all had at least 1 Toa that used the inika (chest armor) shell. The only other Toa mahri set that can compare for uniqueness is Matoro inika with his mata foot as chest armor. But I chose jaller primarily because he embodies more of a stoic warrior rather than matoro hunched demeanor and his stupid asymmetrical fore arms (one that which cannot bend 90* and is awkward. // 2. Jaller Mahris mask. His mask just screams leader. Much like the samurai ornate kabuto head piece, this mask also possesses the headress “horn” look. All the other masks with the exception of Hewkiis weird half mask, all look like metru inspired masks. And lastly Jallers sword. Sure it may be used in other sets now but his giant great sword stood out when first introduced. The first to use a giant epic sword without needing two small swords to be combined. With that, imo Jaller Mahri is the best Toa build. His build is so good, I wish that Matoro mahri used the jaller build instead as it would combine the most interesting inika/ mahri Toa with the best Toa armor build
