Totally agree. It is much more than I could have imagined! I grew on ancient myths of Greece, but never expected the natural beauty to be out of this world as well 😁!

If you need any more advice wherever you are in Greece, aside of the advices and suggestions given on your current travels on the eastern part of the Peloponnese, then feel free to ask! Wherever you are, I always love to share so many secrets the land holds that I know about. As there is truly too much secrets. And you both really seem to be really enjoying and finding secret places everywhere you go, so I am totally open for giving a helping hand

Nice to see what my favourite place is like in Winter. Obviously, a few places are open all year round (Aktaeon, to Steki, Dyonisus etc) , but all Greeks who work in seasonal tourism have other work. Most produce olives and when that's over, they move on to the next thing! A Cretan friend used to run his apartments, pool bar etc from May to October, then worked as a civil engineer for the rest of the year! The wonderful Greek people are generally resourceful and hard working!

Hehh, we miss that little buddy... We were quite close to having a cat in the van, but could not make the decision this time. But we'll see what still lies ahead on the road and maybe at one point we will include another companion to our van 😁.

Hey sorry for the late reply must have missed the comment. on Peloponnese we did not have any bad encounters with the police and it seemed really chill. but just to be on a safe side we use small roads to avoid police stops as well. :D

Maybe the best video so far. About your story.. Generally people in Greece "steal" from the backyard of other person fruits or Veggies.And if this person is mad and act like bad guy is because he has experience the same action numerous times before. Hahaha is a fair reason to start war among Villagers. And the best what you can do is to ask the owners of farm or backyard if you could collect some fruits. Tell and some lies, for example" we are poor people and we need some food"😇 and they would give you the whole field 😁😜

To be honest we are slowly moving to the eastern side of Peloponnese now and have not done any research 😁, do you have any recommendations or must see spots in this region?

@@WildVikingTravels Monemvasia (Medieval town) , Gythion, Mani,Mistras, Limeni(amazing places). Also, Epidaurus is important place with the most haracteristic theater in Greece , Mycenae , Nafplio (first capital of Greece ). Whole provincial of Arkadia is a nice experience with beautiful mountainous villages and great nature.

@@WildVikingTravels To add on this wonderful answer of G k, the eastern side of the Peloponnese you have around the old capital of Greece, called Nafplio plenty of things to do and see also. For example. Stymfalia lake, lake Feneos and the whole region around it. Also close to Epidaurus Theater there are strange cool craters closeby kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHuYiXh8e7Ose9U Also around Nafplio you have the wine region of Nemea, and also the castle of Acrocorinth. Also further beyond Epidaurus you have places like Methana (it's natural strange natural hotsprings, also the region there is a volcano) and Poros. Also the views of the mount Taygetus mountain around Sparta is also nice. Mystras is further down at some of the sides of the big mountain. Also. Not that it matters anymore, but between Kardamyli and the Mani on the western side, did you visit the Diros caves? It's an incredible cave that you can enter and travel through with small boats as the whole cave has a river. It's a wonderful experience. If you haven't and you're far out and now going to for example Monemvasia (highly recommended and should be very closeby from where you 2 are), then never mind. Another time. Peloponnese but all of Greece with it's 80% mountains has so many secrets everywhere. I figured this already 12 years ago
