I just travelled "the right two fingers" of Pelopennese in October, I would say Limeni, Monemvasia and Elafonisos island are really breathtaking. Definitely visit them in summer.🥰🥰 What I also love about Pelopennese is that there are much fewer tourists compared to many islands. I'm not a fan of crowded places. Plus, in Pelopennese you can enjoy good food with paying less money.
@ReigneOrShine2 жыл бұрын
We love Limeni and Monemvasia. It’s those places that we wished we could have stayed longer. We haven’t been to Elafonisos. But won’t summer be very busy? We prefer to have less crowd and not too hot. We loved the Peloponnese region. We would want to go back again one dat.
@monospanta2 жыл бұрын
@@ReigneOrShine I went there in mid October and visited Monemvasia, Elafonisos, Gythio, Areopoli and Kalamata. The weather was good, it was always sunny and was cool in the morning, hot between 10 and 15, warm until late in the evening, but it was sometimes windy when I was in Monevasia and Elafonisos. I would recommend tourists to visit south Pelopennese between june and early october.(maybe better visit in June or september for less crowd and perfect temperature, warm almost the whole day and hot just 3 or 4 hours around noon ) In my travel in mid October I met only several tourists in each tourist spot I went. I suppose it would be busy in summer in Peloppenese but way less busy than places like Athens and many popular islands in south aegean sea.🙂

Very nice video… well produced. It’s hard to experience all of Greece without a lifetime of living here… but a few other places to see are the city of Kalamata, surrounded by and home of the famous Kalamata olive. Nemea, a beautifully rich region of wineries and the beautiful seaside village of Kardamyli with all of its stone hand-built buildings.

Another great place in Peloponnese is Porto Cheli which is south of Epidauros. Is a tourist spot with nice beaches and good night life but from there is easy to reach with a small boat the great island of Spetses one of the nicest greek islands. I d like to add that Peloponnese allthough is a relativ small peninsula someone needs much time to explore and discover. Also south of the city of Argos the whole eastern coast till down the city of Leonidion is a fantastic place and if someone has gone there should climb the mountain of Mainalon to come down in the other side close to Monemvassia. From Argos another great tour is to the old city of Nemea and from there to explore the mountains and the mountain city of Kalavryta, as i ve already mentioned a trip to Peloponess needs time and if someone decides to visit it please take your time. Nice video this one very informative indeed.I d like here to give an advice to the people who might have in mind to visit Peloponnes to get one of the first tour guides from one of the graetest travellers of our times Patrick Lee Fermor Mani: Travels in the Southern Peloponnese Please buy this book to get an idea of what this travel is all about. .

Thanks a million for watching our video and for your kind words! We're really happy that you appreciate our content so much and thanks also for recommending us to other people. When we filmed this video we used mainly an iPhone 12 and a DJI Mavic Air 2, some videos were taken with the Canon m5 too. But since last October 2022 we upgraded and got an iPhone 13 and the Canon R7, we still use the same drone though. Sometimes we use a DJI OM5 as a gimbal, but we're used to film so much that we often use handheld shooting, as the stabilisation in the new iPhone and Canon are much better now. My husband uses a Canon 6D mark II for photography too and a tripod. It's difficult to recommend the exact gear, but a modern phone with good cameras, a mirrorless camera and any new drone from DJI should be more than enough to start creating travel videos. We're planning to get the DJI Action 4 soon because we missed an action camera for underwater videography in our last trip to Sardinia. If you plan to vlog talking in front of the camera, then some Rode microphone or the new mic from DJI are also part of our gear. Let me know if you have more questions! All the best.

Hi! Thank you very much for watching and for appreciating our content. We spent only 8 days in the Peloponnese doing a road trip around the peninsula staying in different hotels. We organised our trip thinking about filming as much as possible, but it was really exhausting because the distances are longer than they may seem. we think that at least 10 or 12 days would have been better for so many places. We were lucky with the weather, it was colder than we expected but considering that we went there in March, it was quite good most of the time. Thanks for watching our video and for your suggestions! We didn´t have time to visit Elafonisos in this first trip, we won´t miss it next time. We loved Limeni and Monvemvasia as well. All the best.

Did you stay in the same hotel everyday and just drove each day to these different locations? Or did you have hotels in different areas?
@ReigneOrShine11 ай бұрын
thanks for watching! We had different hotels as distances can be a little bit long in the Peloponnese. I´ll add the links for our full vlogs where you can see all our hotels with the price we paid for the rooms, in case you are interested to check it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pV6mgWCPnLuhmtUsi=abV1cXZ-M0JHeTHB kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJLEfJiPbM2LiLcsi=zRfTHKtjSMMyq7MY kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6rJmHulgNV-mLssi=x6Ke0DpqXa0hYXA- kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5DTi6OpfMuCmassi=dRT3kM12tfjmm6cp Best regards.

Worked 6 weeks in Sicyon / Kiato . While you don’t want to go to sicyona village , the Peloponnese is outrageously gorgeous . Nafplio is just awe-inspiring. Absolutely gorgeous. Easy to access from Athens or Piraeus. I fell in love with Greece , was there for only about 2 months, but I felt so welcome - being a Macedonian/ Greek Canadian I was treated so well. Food was amazing , even in Kiato which is a small local and national beach getaway. I was worked archaeology , so I felt less inclined to visit all the archaeological sites, but Corinth is amazing . It’s better than Epidarius (theatre is spectacular though), maybe not Mycenae. Nafplio though. The most laid back, gorgeous, easy going, lively town with Turkish, Greek, Venetian influences. Food great (but expensive), best old town in Greece, Palamidi is better than acrocorinth. Tolo beach almost as good as island beaches. Just serene.

May I know in which part of the video did we say that we do not want to go to Sicyona village? We were there for 10 days only. These choices are OUR PERSONAL TOP 10 which we mentioned in the video. We wish we have more time to spend there and include more places. For sure, we will go back in the future. Thanks for watching. Maybe you can create your own video and include your own personal choices since we all have different perspectives.

Nono my friend I was saying that! I stayed there while working. It’s beautiful, but not a place for tourists in any sort.
@ReigneOrShine7 күн бұрын
@@chrisvassos1869 why not? We enjoyed going there
@chrisvassos18697 күн бұрын
@ the site itself is interesting. The village about 2km from the ruins is a strictly local village - no restaurant, one convenience store. Its infrastructure is somewhat crumbling as it is a Venetian town. The views of the mountain and sea are beautiful, but the town Sikyona/ Vassiliko is certainly not for visitors . Street dogs can be aggressive to newcomers, gypsy encampment right below the town on the mountain, somewhat dangerous narrow and steep roads.
@ReigneOrShine7 күн бұрын
@ maybe tourists want to see the site? It doesn’t have to be like most touristic places. Again, it’s a matter of perspective. What is beautiful and worth visiting for us is not probably for everyone. We want to learn also the real “villages”. Not only to very touristic places. Thanks for dropping by. Again this is OUR PERSONAL CHOICES

Next time you are in mainland Greece, try to visit Meteora, Metsovo and Zagori. I think you will like it even more than the Peloponnese. 🙂
@ReigneOrShine Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your suggestions. We’ve been to Meteora last 2019. It’s one of the most amazing places I’ve seen. I literally cried as we watched the sunset there. I wanna go back again. We have to include Metsovo and Zagori for our future trip. Thanks again 🙏🏽

Did y'all get around by renting a car? If so what was that experience like??
@ReigneOrShine2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes, we rented a car and had a nice experience. Some roads were better than other, and we would advise to travel at least 10 days for all these destinations, we covered everything in only 8 days and it was a little bit tiring to drive so many kms in a short time. But we absolutely loved our road trip and it´s the best way to travel the Peloponnese. We posted also longer vlogs in our channel where you can see how we drove from place to place as well. All the best.

@@ReigneOrShine yeah it seems like the best way to explore this area, just a bit intimidated especially since I've heard bad things about driving in Athens. thanks!

Funny. Spanish music (which I like) as background for a documentary in Greece.
@ReigneOrShine Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. Btw, this is not a documentary. This is just our personal choices. And also, I am paying every month to get non-copyrighted music and there’s very limited choices for Greece. So I used whatever Mediterranean music I could use. If you can provide me music that I can use without getting copyrighted, then it would be of great help. We should also help others rather than just criticising right? Have a nice day!

Trojan War was not Mythology. The Iliad has alot of historic facts, surprisingly many, although alot of mythology in it.
@ReigneOrShine Жыл бұрын
We never said that the Trojan War is mythology, we said that Mycenae in mythology is better known as the city of Agamemnon. And we know that the Iliad has both history and mythology, my husband read it years ago and thus he wanted to visit these places since he was a teenager. Not trying to do a history video here, just promoting these beautiful places to bring more visitors to this incredible part of Greece. Thanks for watching.

Thank God Kyparissi, which was named the most beautiful village in Greece, was not included in yr article.. Tourism would eventually destroy it...
@ReigneOrShine6 ай бұрын
We wanted to visit so many places but our limited time won’t allow us. There are so many negative things that tourism brings but we also cannot deny how it helps a country’s economy. I do not agree with disrespectful, loud and uncultured tourists. I hate big resorts that destroy the natural beauty of places.

It’s a pity that you find time to comment such negativity to someone. You can always stop watching the video. You know the stop button? You can use that. Watch other videos then because my channel, my rules. If you don’t like it, not my problem. There are people who like my content style. And who are you referring to as “we”. If by we means yourself, then go suit yourself to block me. Okay? Have a nice day!
