The worst thing that could happen to the USAs national security is to lose its farm land and lose the family farm. Securing the food supply should be national security 101. I never understood how the government let China buy our biggest pork producer AND additional farm land. It boggles my mind how the "environmentalists" don't realize how detrimental factory farms are to the environment. Factory farms produce less per acre than smaller farms and smaller farms have better soil quality-in other words more nutrients in the food they produce. As a small 30ac farm family owned in VA it is impossible to buy more land in VA. 50ac in VA will set you back $500k that is just land and if you want 100ac it is in the $mil area. Issue with VA is you have China/Gates/Hollywood buying the land making it hard for locals to get it and keep it farm land. In the past 2 years The Rock bought a multi mil property here and same with Tom Cruse and Tim McGraw. They come in and prices soar. I personally wont buy meat from any of the big chain stores or grocers. I use local butchers shop that has meat raised in local area.

It's not just China, other countries such as Canada, France and so on, owns America's farmland. In fact, France I believe owns much more American farmland than China does. If you look at the Data, other countries actually own more than China does in the US. SO, you should also blame other countries why real estate is so expensive in the US. As a small raiser of poultry and livestock I understand and agree with everything Mr. Boyd said. Although his operation is much larger than ours, his operation is small in comparison to the big wigs; the issues he speaks of affects us as well. Gates does not do one single thing to benefit true humanity. Between him, Buden and China, whonis our biggest enemy? The cost of feed has increased over 40% in the past 2 years. We are losing almost $800 monthly because of the cost of feed. We do all our building and repairing by hand with no machine larger than our 2 man hole digger. Yet, selling our products to the public directly we meet resistance from people who know what we raise is healthier and better than the Chinese owned stuff in the stores. Someone trying to keep their family expenses down is frustrated that we need to make enough to survive. People are becoming constrained by this economic attack that is forcing people onto food stamps, which has directly caused the price of groceries to increase over 20% this year. Blind greed is killing us. We were looking to purchase one of several larger parcels of land than we have now in a nearby area. There were several nicely priced and perfect for our needs. We are talking 8 to 12 acres in rural country. Within a week of any one of them going up for sale developers bought them all up to turn woodlands or farmlands into suburbs, where they are not wanted. At this point it is only by the will and blessings of our Lord Yahweh that we will turn this around.

Add to this the tendency of rising real estate taxes forcing small farmers to sell their land for development. The goal is to make America an IMPORTER of food, like we import almost everything else. Money goes out. They sell us what and as much as they want. Shortages result.

I’m all for free market capitalism, but we (the USA) need to be mindful over who owns our land, and ensure that no 1 person or entity owns too much of it. We can work on defining what “too much means”. They should form a committee and look into land ownership in the USA. 🇺🇸

I’m 4th generation owner of my family farm. Was a dairy farm until 1968, the government made us install a new milking system, my dad couldn’t afford it so he sold the herd and bought Hereford cows. Now the land is leased to a local crop farmer. Been approached to put solar panels on the land, NOT going to happen!! NO wind generators!! Been sent many letters wanting to buy the farm. NO! It’s in the trust to go to our 3 daughters who feel the same way. Go to farmers markets and get to know your local farmer.

@@mommadonna103 Thanks, I appreciate the hard work my great grandfather , grandfather, and Dad did to make our 116 acre farm, since 1903, productive and successful. The all mighty dollar does not dictate how our farm moves forward. Selling this remarkable land for a hefty price could never satisfy all the beautiful memories it has provided. Hopefully the farm will be passed to our 6 grandchildren too. God Bless

I'm vegetarian raised and I support what this farmer speaks. We need community again, family lands and farms bringing the fabric together for real culture. People want it.. there's people on the streets that only wish they had the right opportunity to put their lives in the right direction. Community farms can eliminate problems in the cities fast by building real health nuts n bolts food clothes and shelter

Love that man’s message! I prefer buying from farmers when possible. When we lived in VA, my next door neighbor’s brother had a farm and we’d buy beef from him. In Ohio, I loved going to the farmers for fresh vegetables. and bought eggs from a lady who raised chickens.. We are in FL now (moved so much due to the military and then then railroad) and I go to a butcher who buys local meat. Nothing better than fresh and AMERICAN. Bill Gates wants to play god by messing with our food and health. He is a true shyster who needs to be stopped but for some reason no one is willing to make him and the others like him quit.
