When I was a kid my father had all of us kids to pick all the dandelions in all our neighbors yards he made wine with them, 20 years later he opened a bottle of it after my brother's wedding, boy was it strong. RIP dad love you.

Your comment called to mind one of my favorite books; Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury; a recollection of his youth picking Dandelions for his grandparents Dandelion Wine! 🤗

Love green acres, so many fantastic characters, Eddie Albert and Pat Buttram two of the best for me. I watched this when it first ran in the 1960s and it is still as funny now as it was then. Brilliant comedy.

It still takes up to three weeks to get a lot of things. Some vendors offer rush delivery but it can cost fifty dollars extra. I don't know if they had any such thing back in the 1960s l was a small boy back then.

Oliver: I wouldn't care if this truck had ejection seats. Haney: Stand clear. Out come the seats. Oliver: Mr. Haney, even if the truck could fly... Haney: Haney to control tower. Request permission to take off.

That vintage car would be worth a lot of money nowadays. It probably wasn't during the 1960s.

He better be careful about flying that truck, considering he’s only licensed for dirigibles.

First ever car phone?
@byrd563 жыл бұрын
Technically, car phones had been around since the 1940's. Although the way Haney's was set up, it was similar to the modern-day "vibrate" settings on smartphones.
You are doing a "Lisa". It's Hooterville, not Hootersville
