According to Colin Cowherd, it's over for Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. Colin breaks down why Rodgers is sucking the life out of the Packers' franchise, and why the Packers choosing to draft Jordan Love was the start of the deterioration of their relationship with the veteran quarterback.

Ain't nothing genuine about Colins perspective on Aaron Rodgers he has had an ax to grind with him for years! The Packers fire the head coach and then hired his replacement without at least consulting with Rodgers, they have NEVER draft a receiver in the 1st round to help Rodgers yet they MOVED UP in the draft to draft a QB, and then the head coach botches the NFC championship by electing to kick a field goal instead of going for it when you are at the goal line with the current MVP at QB. As far as I'm concerned Rodgers gave them exactly what they deserved, in fact he may have been too lenient!

That’s fine to say. I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin, have my entire life and have been bleeding green and gold all the way. I’d rather win 4 when we can instead of hope we can scratch another 1 out with the next guy. It’s not up for debate that Aaron has been putting this team on his back every year. We’ve seen what this team is without him when he’s been injured. What he’s been asking for hasn’t been unreasonable and when he knows what he’s worth he can demand what he’s worth. If he goes to Denver I’m going to be the biggest Bronco band wagon fan ever. The Packers front office has been drinking their own koolaid since they drafted Aaron. The Packer way isn’t cool anymore, Mark Murphy isn’t a football guy and a total joke. Today I wish we had an owner like Jerry Jones who just gave Dak more then he deserved for winning nothing.

Well I'll take the consistency and legacy over the past 30 years, being the 2nd best football team in that time frame over any of these other teams who shoot their load, MAYBE win 1 or 2, and then suck for 10-15 years. Other than the Pats, please show me a team that won 4 superbowls by "going for it". Ill wait. You dont just "win 4" because you decided to go for it. Thats not how any of this works. This isnt Madden, and what the Pats did over 20 years was freakish and will never happen again. If Rodgers leaves, it'll suck for sure, but if theres any team I trust to dump a HOF QB and still be successful, it's the team that dumped Favre for Rodgers

@@SuccimusPrime my point is that they’ve been to 4 NFCCG since the super bowl win, and ole TT did nothing but draft a bunch of guys that aren’t in the NFL right now. And drafting and no free agency isn’t Aaron’s fault, or is it. Do you even remember the name of the CB they had in man coverage all night on Julio Jones in that NFCCG? I don’t ... maybe Aaron carrying the team was twisted into TT thinking it was him. You can argue all you want, but you’d be arguing just to argue. This franchise has failed two HoF QBs over the past 30 yrs by not being aggressive. Tampa did whatever they could to maximize their time with Tom Terrific. That wasn’t the freakish Patriots, it was a team that sucked farts before Brady. All you’ve done by bringing up the Patriots is prove my point The Hoodie traded, signed and cut more guys in order to find the right formula every year. Genius insight. Green Bay Packers and its fans are storied and iconic; they are a legendary franchise , larger than any single player. They took a chance on Rodgers in the draft when many others passed (including 49ers). Rodgers owes them some damn respect (and their fans); they made him wealthy and famous. They drafted HIM when Favre was his age; it is standard business practice. He is paid millions to QB (not HR, GM or Head Coach) when many of his fans are earning 10 bucks an hour. He can show loyalty, or leave ... he will be history and the Packers will remain legendary.

Green Bay refusing to trade Aaron isn't good management. If Rodgers is petty then what is management doing? They act like he's halfway out the door. Telling him two years ago not to be the problem then trading up to draft a QB not letting him know. Basically they treat him like he's not important for the team when one could argue he's the reason they are consistently in playoffs. Seems management wants to move on based on their actions. Why not trade him when his value is high coming off MVP season. They could have gotten a lot to help the team continue contending with a younger QB. That's not good management. How's the stance of we are in charge and we have the power working out for Houston. Aaron can retire or hold out and likely will do one or other. That's not going to be good for Packers but I guess the management can have their pride. If it's a business then is this good business? It's not. Say whatever you want about Rodgers. This is idiotic. So it makes sense if they now trade him because he's not playing for them. Likely will get less than if they had been smart from the outset. Perhaps gotten the Jets 3nd overall pick or Miami's 3rd overall pick along with other picks and or talented players. Now they can keep on saying we won't trade him but that's dumb. He's not playing for them. He's not hard up for $$$$. He can retire or hold out. Let's see what they can recoup and is it close to what they could have gotten by managing their team properly and listening to offers before

The Packers organization has never fully supported Rodgers with the talent around him. "Draft and develop " was the main idea. But 3 or 4 years later when the players had developed, it was "Younger, faster, cheaper " and the talent walked and the development process started again. A decent organization committed to excellence would have gotten at least 3 SBs for Rodgers.

Rodgers is 1-4 in NFC title games with 7 meaningful TD passes, 8 INTs and 3 fumbles. The ONE AND ONLY NFCC he won - Rodgers managed to go AN ENTIRE GAME without completing a pass on 3rd down and got outplayed by Caleb Hanie.

Drafting a decent Quarterback, as a back-up to Rodgers isn't really a humiliation. Green Bay's intent was to have Love be a backup on the field if Rodgers had an injury - not to take over the face of the franchise. How many times does the Front Office have to say that? Love "is not" Aaron Rodgers. Within Green Bay, they saw him as a true back up and potential trading chip two or three years down the road in the draft. Nothing more. So I don't understand all of the "disrespect" talk. You don't build a franchise around a "Love," and Green Bay knew that. The media is way off on this one.

Honestly I kinda don't blame 12, this is the only year he can get what he wants. After this year he can be cut or traded, I'm not saying I pitty a millionaire, but human nature is defensive of what it sees as "his" and he feels his team that risked taking him. Bassicly said he is too old and not what they want anymore. He became the MVP, and they still said "no thanks, I'm stoll chosing the other girl"

I'll admit that I don't know all the details of this situation, but my understanding was that AR was frustrated because GB almost never used their 1st round draft picks on offensive skills players, especially wide receivers. (Unless you are talking about a Barry Sanders, I don't think RBs are worth a 1st- round pick). It's not unusual for QBs to want their team to obtain top weapons for them. As a team you don't have to make bold personnel moves to draft an elite receiver prospect in the 1st round once in a while. I know AR was not happy about JL, but his issues with the GM go back before that. That is my understanding of the situation.

As a Bears fan it really blows my mind that a team can literally have a league MVP QB and take him for granted the way they do. Try drafting a Trubisky and suffer game after game for years with him. Or have Nick Foles or Dalton start for you and then maybe - just maybe you will appreciate what you have. Write a huge check to Mike Glennon for Gods sake. Packers have had goat level QBs so long they forget what it is like not to have one. Not a Rodgers fan at all- but the way they treated him is ridiculous. Like all time f’d up in the history of sports ridiculous.
