No offense but I didn’t like that, it’s ok, I get story and the reality of life and being a operator, but I’m a huge fan in any show or movie, the training, the missions, the planning, what movie was it…. Six days, the training part and the execution of that were my favorite parts of the movie I wish had more, I liked 13 hours as well. But that had to do with desert and covert stuff and obviously the conflict it lead to. Seal team had some drama in it that….I could actually do without. I watch swat too and that was ok but then it went super political and made me sick of it. Wrong ideology for police anyways.

I have zero idea who they're going after and why...like, there's zero character development. If you asked me to name 1 bad guy in this show, my brain would go totally blank. They all blend into eachother. There's no over-arching strategy to the show. at all. By the time you get to the last season, you just don't care anymore. at all. My main entertainment is to criticize and be angry about the scientific/PTSD misinformation. 😖😖😖😖
@only._me Жыл бұрын
@@andrabook8758That’s kinda the point of the show tho. There’s always going to be another bad guy or another terror cell or whatever bc that’s just how life is. @andrabook8758 Жыл бұрын
@@only._me right, ok....but, from a movie POV, I'm obviously not actually IN the action, right? so if you just say random names at me without any context, and no defining features......... it's like doing a batman movie and just having bad guys be: bad guy #1,#2, #3.... I don't care. I CANNOT care. What is my motivation? how do I tell them apart? The viewer cannot actually feel any connection to the story if all the bad guys are blah, blah, blah. They're just all background noise. I have no idea why anyone is doing anything, basically. It takes you out of the story completely, when the story is not structured properly. Its' not engaging anymore. I feel as bored as the actor playing Jason looks, at all times. He knows he's playing a dumb 2D character and so do I....I should not know that! The story just doesn't resonate at all with me, bc I literally have zero clue what's happening. All the episodes just blend into 1 giant mess of bullets and the most random melodrama. And that's bc the story doesn't resonate. I'm still mad his wife is *blank,blank, spoilers" in season 1 bc that's the last time I felt anything at all for this show! She was the only character who seemed to have any common sense at all. I actually felt something for that 1 character. None of the main characters are likable or relatable. And that's a problem when they're all you've got driving the show, bc there's no over-archining plot. You can totally have a character driven drama, but not with 2D characters! there's just no meat on the bones otherwise. And it gets super repetitive and boring. That's why the show is now doing that great in terms of audience engagement.
@andrabook8758 Жыл бұрын
@@only._meif you want a character drama series, which is what this is basically, then you need to actually have meat on the bones for those characters. They cannot just be stereotypes. I need to understand why they're doing what they're doing. It's one thing for a movie to take you along for the ride, and it's another for them to just slap on a cool name :Navy Seals...and then ride those coat tails like there's no tomorrow. For me I liked the Zero, Dark, Thirty movie, and I watched that at about the same time as this series. That movie though, even though they had like 10 mins of screen time, it was intriguing. The dialogue was interesting. They had presence and didn't sound like a bunch of jerks at all times. I WANTED to know more. I wished they had spent more time on them. I came away with a positive experience. The tom hanks movie with the pirates.... Same. It was super cool! I loved the whole boat scene at the end, it was so well executed. I would have LOVED to know more about that type of freaking training you can do to be THAT precise with the shooting ON WATER, which is a moving environment. SUPER AWESOME! 5 stars! I wished they had more screen time. This series, has a TON of screen time, and I've never wanted to run away from a movie faster or harder. They look like morons. Like the worst possible type of morons. The kinds of dudes you have to baby sit at all times, bc they're a complete mess at all times. AND they're going to make that process the worst it can be, bc they're gonna start having a breakdown bc "why are you baby sititng them, they're grown men, DAMN IT!" It's just a mess. And it leaves you with the uncomfortable feeling that maybe the series is right....maybe they really are all just a fking hot mess at all times, and all the other movies all lied to us.

I like it best when they're all just best friends going on cool missions. The rest I'd rather they leave out, or scale down at least. Sure, some things have real life importance, where they try to shine a light on problems that might improve the quality of the operators lives if they where fixed. I guess those can stay. But needless drama I can sure live without.

Awesome breakdown, guys! SEAL Team is my all time favorite show. I don't think the seasons take any weird turn at all. I think as the seasons go on, the story writing and the acting gets even better. When they switched from CBS to Paramount, they were allowed to cuss and swear, which at first seemed a little awkward in the acting, but then after a few episodes, seemed more natural, if that makes sense. Interesting fact: The actor who plays as the new guy, Clay Spencer, is the teenage boy in the family that Vin Diesel was protecting in the movie "The Pacifier."

I have watched every season of this show it never loses the core of good tactics, a couple times the missions are a little out there but the biggest turn is that as the show goes it starts to focus more on the guys and the messy home lives they have and eventually it starts to show the damage that 20 years of warfare can have on a person both mentally and physically. But other than one or two ops in season 5 it never strays into the realm of the unrealistic. The only other shift comes in season 5 when they switch from network television to streaming, so the filters required for network TV just stop, so immediately language gets more profane and some content gets a bit more explicit.

That's absurd! Why would they have officers go through the entire selection process if the slots have already been filled?! Just to be clear, it's not that I don't believe you, mate - it just baffles me that 22 would have officers to complete and pass selection, only to turn them down. Don't know how it is for other branches but considering they all go to the same EOD school they probably get the same. But, EOD works on everything from ied's to chemical and nuclear. The Navy is no different, the thing that makes them special is that they have diving and airborne school in their pipeline to be able to do underwater disposal and to be able to integrate with SOF. SO, yes EOD can work with chemicals. CBRN does a fraction of what EOD does.

Hey Buck im currently attached to GSB and get alot of questions about support MOS working with SFG. Can you do a video covering how they help ODA's and what it was like for you working with them.

It gets more intense as the series progresses. In fact, I can no longer watch it at night because it ramps me up😱. In my opinion the lead as Jason was miscast.

Not a left turn. It's always good. Some things better than other like any show. People leave negative reviews on everything

Loved the whole show, just got super drama based when back not in operations. But all the combat stuff is pretty dope

the show didn't veer. The show began to use its platform to highlight personnel issues that take place within the SF community like dealing with PTS, suicide prevention, sexual assault and harassments to females in the military and support personal within SF. The way it was addressed were in real life scenarios and they did a fantastic job tying it into the story line of what not only do soldiers deal with while on deployment or on mission, but the impact of how it affects home life as well.

Have you looked at reviewing the show The Unit? They have one episode S1E3 where they cover CQB and covering your area. Interested to see your response. Yes this show covers more than just the Unit they cover the family back at home but still interesting to see your reaction to the show.

I don’t believe the show really deviate a whole lot, but if it does, it’s because they went from watching it on CBS to Paramount+, and that was season four the deviation was the fact that they decided to talk more like operators and cuss like operators do, and not a whole lot of people took to Kailee to that.
