100% agree airborne is one of the hardest things I’ve done. Everyone acts tough until they hear “10 minutes” and that C-130 door opens up.

Nice to see a brotha on here willing to share his special forces journey. If you would’ve visited my high school instead of the Air Force who knows where I would be lol. My pops and uncles retired as infantry guys and pushed me to choose a branch/AFSC that translated to civilian life. 3 years left until retirement as a MSgt in the cyber field but every now and then I wished I had challenged myself early on and tried my hand in some form of combat job. Great channel! Thanks for sharing.

Question 🙋🏽‍♂️. SF has a unique fold and fit on their berets compared to other beret wearing units. Is there a unique shaping or molding pattern for SF?

I have to laugh. I was on recruiting duty as a SSG with the Houston Recruiting Battalion when you joined in 2003. when you finish the Q course and was a couple of years in the teams, I officially retired in 2013 after 24 years of service. I WAS NEVER SF but enjoy the videos

you called you master parachutist badge a senior. I think you meant to say master. I totally understand not wanting to keep taking the uniform down to alterations every time something changes in our records. such as rank or time in service stripes and so forth. gets old having to buy awards or appurtenances or clasp or ribbons or badges in general.. Especially when we only wear our dress uniform for rare occasions like dress inspections or military balls or special ceremonies.

Question about the CAB and CIB. You earned a CAB as a combat engineer, did that automatically get changed to a CIB once you went 18 series or was it a different process to get it changed?

Awesome video. Been watching the channel grow and it's getting better and better. Did 1 enlistment as a medic for an Infantry platoon from 07' to 11'. My CMB, ARCOM w V device and Purple Heart are some of my most prized possessions. Still have my class A's in the back of the closet. As a kid, uniforms, ribbons, fatigues were like ancient treasures and relics with hidden and visible symbols and meanings. My grandfather's old uniforms and photos from his career implanted in my young mind a curiosity that would eventually lead me to serve in my own way. There's a great YT channel hosted by a retired officer that takes me back to those childhood days called Veterans' Medal Workshop - MOA Press, great channel - it's like Mr. Rogers for military history nerds, lots of history, good to watch when you just need a break from all the BS in the media at large. Keep the great content coming!
