Something I learned from my time playing Gmod is that when shit starts rendering stupid (like the shadow showing only your pants) you can fix it by going into the console and typing record fix, hit enter, wait a few seconds, then type stop and hit enter again. I have this happened to me a lot with the shadows in Team fortress 2 but it's usually disembodied shadows doing the running animation. Just floating in the most obscure places
