Bought a bottle of the Green Spot Single Pot in Zinfandel Cask. LOVE IT! I will also add this is my first bottle of Irish whiskey as I have been trending towards Scotch. The fruity/apple and vanilla notes are refreshing. I don't know why but the last mouthful is wonderful, maybe because it is exposed longer to the atmosphere. Great suggestion.

Cheers from from the other side of the pond! I’m an experienced bourbon drinker here in America for the last few years and have started trying more Irish whiskey and came across your channel doing some research. So far the Redbreast Cask Strength and Lastau have been my favorites of the Irish whiskeys I’ve tried. I think green spot will be my next Irish whiskey purchase since it seems very highly rated by people here in the states and from what I can tell Irish people as well. Love the videos, keep up the great work! Slainte

Middleton re-released Blue Spot as limited edition about a month ago, but is now sold out almost everywhere. It's cask strength and really smacks you, little drop of water recommended - quite complex one, that. Green Spot remains my favourite, though.

im a novice for sure too, curious to know if u know the ph of this whiskey.... i have been searching the internet high and low and have not gotten an answer. Thank you

Apparently ethanol has a pH of 7.33 which means is only slightly more acidic than water. Not sure how barrel ageing might affect that, perhaps oxidation makes it even more alkaline as oxygenation increases with a decreasing pH. Interesting question, nonetheless.
