"Blue" is looking so appealing to the eyes but "Green" is looking more natural😍 so imo Green is looking better over the Blue one👍🏻

This is probably tommy's masterpiece, one of the best tank he ever built. The proof that perseverance always pays off. Personally i prefer green looks, it's much more natural. But in the second shoot you added some rocks in the background and it looks less flat than the first one. I don't know which one could be the one, but anyway great job! Fingers crossed with the competition and good luck Tommy!

Blue stones for me. It complements the fish more, emphasises the hardscape and the extra details really improve the layout.

This is by far my favorite tank ever aquascaped at Green Aqua. It would be a great Tanganyika tank without plants, with a few small rockdwellers and a school of small cyprichromis hovering above.

How do you transport a fully finished tank to a competition? Do you have to break the whole thing down and do it over at the competition, or how does that work? LOVE LOVE LOVE the clean blue version, so crisp and really makes everything pop! It goes so great with the color of the fish and it just seems to have much more depth to it. Thanks for this!

Very impressive Tommy, real high impact scape! I've never really been into Iwagumi but these wild style ones are just so beautiful, especially with the frodo stone. I really like the green version, that looks a bit more natural to me. However the contrast in the clean version is just great and goes very well with the fish. Hope you get a good ranking on this one, I'm sure you will! Best regards from the Netherlands, Nick

Green has a more warm feel to it while the blue is more cold but it is quite striking. I'm glad the choice was Tommy's and not mine as I can't make up my mind which is more suited for the comp. Best of luck Tommy! Greetings from South Africa!

I favor the blue stone if you could adjust the temperature of the lights to keep it from being seizure inducing. If the lights are static I'd use the green, if you can go and scrub some spots on the green to create some blue highlights.

Un hermoso trabajo, gracias por compartirlo! Personalmente, el azul me parece más dramático e inquietante (creo que me imagino un betta splendens rojo o uno azul nadando por ahi), y el verde más natural, descansado y cálido. Ambos me parecen hermosos.

As fun as it is to watch competition videos, do you have any videos on long term setups. To be frank, my average tank life cycle is in excess of 24 months. Some were up for almost a decade. I've never had a long running planted/aqua caped tank. Any pointers in this regard I'm sure would be appreciated by the average at home aquarist. does gluing everything pan out well over subsequent years? seems you just sprint towards photos. How do the deep soil beds hold up over years?

@patrickdijkman89743 жыл бұрын
Looks great, hope for a good score for during that IAPC contest (?). Now, to get real, jot down the list of materials you used and the list price for clients of Green Aqua. Just to have an understanding on the budget required for participating in such a contest. This to put things in perspective and trans parity the viewers of the Green Aqua channel. Thanks in advance!
@GreenAquaShop3 жыл бұрын
The goal of the channel is to inspire others. To get the first kick to do something. Let your creative side do the work. It is up to you you collect resources, DIY certain things, go with 2nd hand (which is common in the hobby as well) etc. Marine tanks are not cheap either. If you go with the best or the most expensive material/equipment the final price will be high. I have to add that my photo gear cost me more than my 240L fully equipped aquascape. 👍
