Thanks for the interview. It is great to hear from Simon Murray's perspective. He is open and straight forward. He does not have anything to hide. He does not need to. 👍

Thank you for interviewing Simon Murray, who is a legend himself. I look forward to watching the movie about him if there is going to be one!
A great interview! Great to hear the perspectives of those who put so much effort into building HKG in the past. Also, great choice of interviewer to make this interview remarkable!

I loved this interview! Simon Murray clearly has had a significant influence in shaping the success of Hong Kong and vice versa. His responses are refreshingly unfiltered. While it's sad that the great old days of Hong Kong are behind us, Simon remains optimistic about the future of the city.

80s & 90s is the best time of HK. I still remember there are lots of great British Companies e.g. Jardine Matheson. Stock Exchange was lead by British too e.g. Mark Hanson, Susan Selwyn. But now, what do we have in HKEX and SFC?

最后那句:Hong Kong is beginning, albeit, in a new pair of trousers, jacket.

Mr Simon Murray is really legendary icon in Hutchison, I was working in on of subsidiary of Hutchinson telecom Co. He had wonderful of ambitious in telecommunications business.. Mr Li ‘s family is typical HK business owner, his sons wanted in charge of everything, no more baby sitting around! That why a big conflict started at mid 90 …..

This interview clarified a question I’ve had for a long time about the extradition bill introduced by Carrie Lam in 2019. Was she simply carrying out a directive from the PRC, or did she actively propose this bill to Beijing, thinking it was a strategic move-as everyone knows, she is a smart ass.

Simon getting old, so as his mind set. A place certainly has its up and down in economy, no doubt, provided that the political environment still the same. However the political situation in Hong Kong now is totally different than before. The leaders never admit they do anything wrong. Locking up people without solid evidence amd allow no bail for years, thats ridiculouse. I wish Simon live there for a while and criticize the hk government of any wrong doings, see if he will be in jail too. Thats the main reason why hk economy will never be the same in the 80s and 90s. After Xi took over, the whole Chinese economy is doomed as you can see

Spot on, thus the interview is a disaster as far as a meaningful interview goes. I could see Stephen was struggling to make it relevant!
The word "whatever" uttered out by Steve Vine near the end part of interview sounds much of his disagreement to Simon Murray's comment about HK's future, and sadly also helplessness of everyone. 謝謝綠豆,which is a good investment.
