Another very well made video. This is the kind of tutorial that won't be obsolete. When you first showed phaselines, I didn't get why you're moving shuttles. But when you explained it and I started using it, it saved a lot of my crew. The only thing missing is the beer party in the mess hall after a boarding mission.

I figure teaching fundamental tactics is a good way to future proof a video like this. People can figure out buttonology if it changes, but knowing why you’re pushing those buttons is what people need to know. I’ve taught lots of people some pretty complex stuff in my professional life. Post mission, step one is to clear shat pants. Step two, drink.

I'm a firm believer in the time honored tradition of SUPERIOR FIREPOWER... Moar people equals moar GUNS, Moar guns means the enemies die faster...

I wish we had some kind of suppression mechanic. Get some crew served guns in the fight.

@@Greenbeef would be cool if guns would actually have magazines and fire ammunition, which you need to produce or buy. Then we could just decide, if we want to shoot at the enemy in automatic or singel shot mode or where you shoot just a few bullets in fast succession. :)

Great relaxing "Black Pants Legion" vibe, nice voice, good analysis and just a bit of humour for spice, subbed.

I am very much a BPL fan and Tex inspired me to start this channel a few years back. I’m sure some of his content bleeds into mine.

Nice! Very detailed and informative! I shall try to implement these strategies in the future. If I panic and get rekt anyway will remain to be seen. 😜👍

I don't use this tactic because it is essentially a cheat but if you board a friendly ship you can take any weapons they have stored in their cargo. You can then sell them back to the same ship and then re-steal them. There should be some kind of reputation penalty but ut works for now
@Greenbeef9 ай бұрын
That’s an effective exploit. I don’t doubt that stuff will get patched out eventually.
@P2501-y6u9 ай бұрын
@@Greenbeef it'd be cool if they add a heist element. If the allied crew don't see your guys stealing then no rep loss etc. also on exploits: alien ships are great for target practice and gaining weapons skills. If you land at a hole in the hull the bugs can't cross open space to get you, but if you send a bait crewman onto the actual floor of the ship they will instantly route to that crew. So you draw them into the open, blast them for the exp, then the baitcrew retreats a few spaces to the shuttle. Repeat.

@@P2501-y6u I agree, being able to carry any item manually would be great. That way you could board a ship, secure the airlock. Offload some high value items, then hop back on the shuttle and run. Might open up some options that don't involve murdering everything in sight all the time.

Thank you for these there is definitely a learning curve. I came over from rimworld by a recommendation from a coworker. Also I love the military references I saw the IA training lol

My pleasure. I’ll likely get back into making some more tutorial vids now that the alpha has settled a bit. I figured this was a good vid for military jokes, hah.
