Tried this on keg all the way up in kirkudbright. It’s lovely! Even had to take the glass home as it is a really cool glass 👌🏼🤣

Hi Simon, have you tried the new lager from Greene King called Flint Eye?? Its also sold in a 4 pack in Tesco. Currently only £4.75 on cllubcard. Its decent!

Have you tried Greene King Ice Breaker? A session pale ale. Is a good alternative to lager when there's not much good beers on at a Greene King Pub. Also they just recently launched a new lager called Flint Eye dried hop lager. But in my opinion nothing beats Rocking Rudolph at Christmas which is my favourite Greene King beer. Greene King IPA is not worth drinking because it's not a real IPA and a bit bland.

They have this on keg at all the green king pubs in London along with flint eye, it's not a bad beer from what I remember. It's been available here for a long time, basically since end of COVID restrictions I think, at least over a year for sure. I wonder if it was available elsewhere or if London was a testing ground?

Down here in Dorset it's been available on draught in GK pubs for about 18 months.

I first had this last year when I went out for a meal and the restaurant had it on draft and I had a few pints of it. It’s not my favourite but definitely don’t hate it. I buy it if it’s on offer but otherwise I prefer to buy other beers. I did however pick up a 4 pack last month in Morrison for only £1.50 for the 4. It wasn’t out of date or anything either. Score.

Seen it in Sainsburys and avoided it as never really liked Green King Ales, always got that watery bland taste, after this review ill give these ago, nice review Si cheers

Aldi Ireland wiping the floor with session and double IPAs at the moment. Brown bear being a good example, and comes in a 500ml bottle. Always empty shelves when I go looking.🙂

I went to a food festival recently last month . Green king had stall there with beers on tap . Tried this level head ale not really impressed and at £6.50 per pint definitely not impressed . 😂

It's not great and its only 3.8%(oops 3.6%). Anything below 4.0% isn't worth drinking. I should say 4.5% (i would have said 5.0% 10 years ago) really but im trying to be kind

Pretty bland. Nothing like the hoppy modern IPA's if that's what you're after. I grew up in East Anglia and it was mainly Greene King pubs. There was a reason I drank Abbot ale in my younger days. It's ok if you just want a steady couple of pints that's not lager. As Suffolk breweries go, it's got nothing on Adnams.

Greene King IPA has been around for decades. I have a vision of it from the Seventies. It's the third biggest selling cask beer in the country. Tastes bland mind, but the local islanders can't get enough of it. Has a following in the USA too. It's won CAMRA awards. I sometimes wonder if I'm at all human.

Definitely diacetyl. Don't confuse scale with quality. Just because GK are a huge brewery and have been going for years does not mean they brew high quality beers, in fact, in my experience it is the complete opposite.

if Greene King have made a decent beer I'm very shocked and suprised! They haven't made anything decent for years - have you ever tried their IPA or EPA? appalling, like dish water. Abbot Reserve is just about tolerable.....

They are a mass market pub chain and produce weak mass produced beer to go with it. They are appalling in every respect. *I haven't tried Abbot Reseve but regular Abbot is pretty bad.
