I agree, that kitchen is definitely the highlight of the build. That worktop is fabulous! Also I prefer the dual sofa - worktop layout to the traditional rock-and-roll bed popular in VW campers. Means you can longe / nap without turning the entire van into "bed mode"!

Very nice build, the only suggestion I have would be to have an access door and at the of the the couch instead having to lift the cushion to gain storage access

this is something im planning to make for myself one day. everyday car to use for work and vacation car for summer time, simple water plumbing and use of large portable battery than few car batterys to hide somewhere whit wires and needs to take out every time when in work use. and i like the toilet idea. is it smell proof tho?

That sounds perfect! what kind of size vehicle would you be looking to convert? I wouldn’t say theyre smell proof haha, but if you manage the smell, its absolutely fine, we use vinegar to neutralise the urine and sawdust for the 💩

Loving this van conversion (also watched you other video with the time lapse). Quick question: do sell/published your plans for the Caddy somewhere? Aka measyments. For beds, tables etc. Had a look on your website, but couldn't find it. I've seen your Amazon links for different products, so that's grand. Just wondering if you you written plans somewhere. If not, defo watching your tinelapse for a step by step if we decide to go with Maxi. Cheers!

Hi Tom, we don’t have any sort of plans that we have written up, I guess everyone has their own design to work from and desire different layouts so we never did it :), are you looking to do something similar (layout)? Hit us up if you need any info!

I would love to take a 4 seater and just take out 1 seat permanently and keep one in (semipermanently) that i can take out, whenever i go full vanlife mode, so i can take more people.. Is that something you have already thought about ?

Thank you! Ah ok is that the caddy maxi life? This van is for sale so not on the cards 😂, I think it would lose too much space in the van too for a seat, depends what your priorities are, if you plan on taking two extra people in your van everyone, it’s unlikely you would all sleep in there?

Yee, just don’t have a storage unit at the end. But also, this bed is 190 in the middle section due to the curve in the doors 😊

The bitumen self adhesive sound deadening strips? Sure, it helps reduce an excess noise from rain, wind etc

The bed looks a bit narrow to me. We have a Caddy Maxi which has a full width bed. Not sure how it would have worked, but I might have made the kitchen unit the same height as the sofa and had a cover for the sink to allow a wider mattress. Cool build though.

The bed width is ample enough for this size van, it is a caddy 😂. Not sure how what would have worked? The bed height is pretty much the height of the kitchen but it’s not for sleeping on 😂.
