Oh wow, those greengages look very tasty Dom! Can't wait until my tree starts producing 🤞 Your 'Little Vic' plums are coming along incredibly well too. My Little Vic plant is very stunted, it's really in need of repotting, although I'm not sure if I can do it now, or if I should wait until it goes dormant 🤔. There is one tiny fruit on it, but there's no chance it will ripen now. Incredible to see your black sapotes have been outside all winter too!

Thanks, Peter ... They're so so delicious. The greengages are definetly a winner. So far, they're beating my Little Vic. I'm sure yours will produce soon. They're great plants and considering it's only mid-July and the fruit are ripe, they're a good fruit tree for the UK. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem up-potting now as we still have a bit of summer left for them to get their roots out ... Whatever you decide, I look forward to your updates on these trees and your Pluot. The Black Sapotes are doing OK, I suppose. Obviously not as great as the White Sapotes.

@@MoebiusUK for some reason youtube doesn't want to allow my comment about the pluot...

Looks absolutely delicious 😋 so nice to be able to harvest your own, home grown Green Gage. I can attest to how sweet Gage and plums are, when picked at the right time. Unfortunately I had to take out my tree due to the seeds being poisonous to dogs 🙄

Thanks, Joe. I do love this tree. The fruits are delicious. Shame you had to pull your tree. Maybe dog owners worried about plums can bag the fruit.

Good to see you enjoying your green gage. That's a very early variety I am so tempted to get this variety. Thanks for your video.

Thanks, I really am enjoying the fruit from this tree. I've eaten 7 greengages today. lol. Yes, I thouroughly recommend this variety. I believe it cost under £30 from 'YouGarden' so well worth the price. My tree is the 'Patio' version and grafted onto a superdwarfing rootstock so suitable for container growing in my tiny garden.

I think so. I wasn't aware of the variety before but it's so delicious. I'm looking forward to hopefully getting a larger crop next year.

Its fortunate this summer is not proving good for wasps as they wreck my parents greengages and plums. Interestingly their greengages don't ripen until late August. Impressed that one of your black sapote looks fine. I love greengages

Oh Brett, the greengages taste so good. I'm well pleased . Yes, I should have protected them but I think I was lucky with only getting a couple blemished. I also noticed a couple that dropped after being ripe. I wasn't expecting them to be ready so soon. I bet your prents trees have lots of fruit on them, if they're in-ground.

Oh, really? Somebody else told me this week they were growing that but it hadn't fruited yet ... I hadn't heard of that variety so assumed they had got the name wrong and it was the same as mine. Evidently not. I was pleasantly suprised how good the fruit on this tree was. I'm really looking forward to next years crop.
