Oh my goodness! I have heard many experts over the years discuss the ‘science’ behind the plants, shrubs and trees used in the landscape, but this is THE most informative video I have ever seen on houseplants! Sam has such a wealth of knowledge about every aspect of these plants and she is truly a gem! I will definitely be watching this again and again just to absorb all the details of the various plants she discussed! Thank you Janey for sharing Sam’s expertise with us! And now I want to go to my local nursery (on the East Coast) and shop for more houseplants!

Hi Janey. This gal is so informative!! Could she possibly give us information. On growing African Violets? Thanks!! Sure you are so excited to be able to walk. I broke my leg about 12 years ago IN MY GARDEN. Had to be in a wheelchair 2 months and a boot 2 more months. I ended up scooting on my butt all over the yard to deadhead my perrenials. Just HAD to get out in the yard. So it really made me appreciate the gift of being ambulatory!!

I've used Mosquito Bits for fungus gnats, but found a product that is easier to use called Gnatrol. The only issue with that is it is not easy to find in smaller quantities and can be expensive in large containers. Works great and is much easier than dealing with Bits.

I love house plants but don't have any. I have 3 cats and some of these maybe poisonous to cats. That would be a nice topic to discuss in the future. I would love to have her plant knowledge - she reminds me of a physician that explains things in layman terms so folks can understand.

Would also like to know if she knows about cats and house plants. For example, I cannot have a piece of Lee because my kitty cat is a muncher and they’re toxic also dogs but it’s mostly cats which house plants are safe. I love them but I’m always a little scared to buy.
