Does God Help Those Who Help Themselves?

We have access to the greatest teacher who ever lived- Jesus! Pastor Mike Patz opens up Matthew 5:3-5, as we begin a long look at the Beatitudes in The School of Jesus series. The American gospel touts "God helps those who help themselves". Yet if we really listen to the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, we will see something entirely different. How do we enter the Kingdom of Heaven? The grace of God is reserved for those who humble themselves! The beatitudes describe one person, who increasingly yields to the truth of the teachings from Jesus' days on earth. Come, and learn from Him!
