Lawson was underrated. He was outstanding and quick. Carl was an awkward customer and Hogg was pretty nasty. Greenidge and Haynes showed their experience in this video.

@Lats Niebling Viv was West Indies no.3 for most of his carrer around a decade; also Richie is a lot younger to him around 10-12 years..so thats some difference there.. Best Windies team had Greenidge, Haynes opening , Viv at 3 and then a class middle order of Yagga, Kalli & Llyod Post 84 there middle orders were lot weak and fragile.. Besst Windies team was of 79/80 that slaughter a top class Aussie team this Australian team is among the worst after seriois transition with three stwarts retiring previois summer and still Windies as usually lost in Sydney.

@Lats Niebling Indeed fact is apart from Marshall; Sylvester Clarke was another one who couldn't get a look into either; Marshall actually learned from Dennis Lillee during the tour about some guiles of away & in swingers.. Apart from Clarke & Marshall; there was Larry Gomes around as well who couldnt get into the team so was Jeff Dujon Its hard to imagine any XI superior to them considering they have Gomes, Clarke, Macko & Dujon or King at bench.. Just a wonderful team; best there ever was against a top Aussie side.
