Love this! Just learning about this now, and I’m a gymnastics coach w a fascination with the north. Can’t wait to learn more!

Hmm.... interesting. I will look into it. I am not kayaking right now. Only canoeing but it looks like a nice thing to do for fitness anyway,

Very cool presentation. Thank you!. Do you have any tips for Tunuussineq, I got stuck upside down:-)?

Try to keep super tight to the ropes and bend your upper body forward as though you were trying to look over the edge of a cliff. That is one way, twisting up like pallussinneq is another way but harder in my opinion. One helpful trick is to try and capture the ropes between your feet. Point your toes together to capture the rope so it doesn't slip out and that should help with control.

@@KayakToTheSea Thank you, pallussinneq is very easy for me as the feet turn first veary easily, then the body follow. About Tunuussineq, you mean once upside down, I need to bend my body forward, then what comes first up over the rope? The feet are blocked under the ropes...so what make the body turn up again?

@@maxaudibert5793 It is a bit of twist like pallussinneq but by bending like a banana you raise your center of gravity above where you pivot and around you will come. Basically, the position you are in for setup is the position you want to try to bend into when upside down.

The rope that we use commonly is called Show-Braid. It is originally made for pulling theater curtains. It is pretty nice on the hands, pretty soft and grippy. But any rope will work, some better than others. Climbing rope is too small to grip well and ship rope is often too slippery. 5/8 or 3/4 inch diameter is pretty good for grip. Bigger or smaller is not very nice for holding onto. Let me know if you have other questions.

I hit the dirt every now and then. But if you don't let go of the rope your head won't hit the ground.
