Top job mate, good explanation from the electrical teacher that teaches apprentices how to bend conduit 👌

I teach Conduit bending to electrical apprentices, your hoop would pass nice work. One suggestion for using your bender to get repeatable bends is you can measure the ram travel. You have the uglys guide to conduit bending and in that section for the Chicago bender there should be a section on travel. It’s the distance the conduit travels along the base support as you bend. If you track this for one bend you can use that amount next time to repeat the same angle. Your hydraulic ram acts the same way. So complete the first bend, then measure ram travel write it down. Then use that travel amount for the second bend.

I'm having to relearn a lot as well, but it is coming back slow but sure. Very frustrating at times. I am so grateful for your continued encouragement and support. I learn so much from watching your vids as well.

Wait a second, at about 930 in, you describe how your weld seam on the DOM pipe is used as a reference. That’s a blooper, yes? …minutes later…..my error….there is a small seam in DOM tubing, turns out I thought DOM was CDS. Apologies.
@TheEZGZ6 ай бұрын
It is electric resistance welded but drawn over a mandrel. You can still see it on both sides. Makes a handy reference point for multiple bends
