Hi Nicole, I saw this video when it first came out 2 years ago (time flies!), I was in the middle of painting a magazine rack and its tough to paint the divider rail in between the spindles! Then I saw you use a sponge brush to get in the tight spots, I pulled out my regular painting supply box and found a similar sponge applicator, Worked great, saved so much time. Totally enjoyed watching the whole video again! Totally a Holy Spirit moment, prompting me to look you up and watch this video again! Thank You

Nicole!! I am so selfishly glad you are back and making DIY projects again!! You & your channel are quickly becoming one of my favorite and most looked forward to on KZbin for so many reasons. Your personality and voice are low key and calming while you explain in just the right amount of detail what you're doing and why. Not a ton of fluff and drawn out painting clips, but still plenty of step by step instruction. Maybe it's geared a little toward the more intermediate crafter and that's why it's perfectly paced in my opinion. Also, your projects usually include just the right amount of upcycling and embellishing...just enough to add a touch character without being too technique heavy or overdone. So while you were busy baking and birthing that beautiful baby boy, I was starting my very first booth! And now that it's done, I am looking for lots of ideas and inspiration to keep the inventory fresh, which is why I'm so excited to see you crafting again! I loved today's projects so much, and Just happened to be priming a bread box AND wondering what to do with all my rolling pins! So again, thanks for doing what you do, and I'm already looking forward to the next video! 😊

Use cornstarch for the iod letter molds it keeps the clay from getting stuck inside the molds

Do you just sprinkle it in the mold like flouring a baking sheet?
@GreenOnionVintage3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's what I've done in the past. You can also use flour or baking soda. Just a light dusting.

Yes,Thank you Andrea,for this too I was going to comment the same thing,but cane down and read all the comments and saw you've already gave this Great tip,also I do want to say I saw somewhere someone said use flour....I don't recommend,...er... By trying the flour method,I realized it's awful,it can actually mold when sealed with a water based sealer especially and it tends to discolor white paint,if say you were to leave then white and then paint then too!! hope thus helps Also! 😊 Everyone have a Blessed day! 🙏💗

I saw a video where the "artist" dusted her mold with corn starch, before putting the clay in, and she put her mold in the freezer to harden, and it popped right out. Of course, if you're applying it to something with a curve, like a jug, cup, glass, or bottle, you would want to dust the mold with corn starch, empty the excess, and fill with clay, then remove, while still flexible. Your work is beautiful.

Look at you go with so many new techniques. I think you can add backing soda to the molds and brush it out prior to clay and it helps ease them out. Don't quote me. I haven't tried it. The lemon roller would look great with green handles. I would paint the 1 gal top with Coffee bean too. But nuetral is a great idea. Love your work. So glad to see you. Makes me want to paint!!!

I love your ideas!! A much easier way to do the stamps. Place them down as you would see them on your item that you are stamping. Then take your thin mount and place it on them and then you don’t have to place them backwards!! Hope this helps save a little time!! 🤗🤗❤️❤️

Oh I think the painted Sunflowers look nice… it pulls the color of the basket handles and trim into the whole basket nicely. Good save for the picnic basket. Love the idea of Transfers on the Rolling Pin! I may have to try that! For you molds, add a little corn starch to the molds and the clay comes out easier. Just use a paint brush and dump the extra out. Great idea with painting the handles on the Rolling Pins…I like that red tones to! And how great the jug and bottle came out !!! I have a brown jug…I may have to paint that too! Great inspiration 👍 💛💛🌻💛💛

Great ideas I loved what you did with the broken crock. I just recently used the Harper alphabet mould for the first time and I found that dusting them with cornstarch and sticking them in the freezer for about 10 minutes made them so easy to release. I have a few big gallon glass bottles that I will be trying your method on. Thanks for the inspiration!!
