Greetings from Birmingham, Don! My mum's from Greenore and I'm very familiar with all those sights from visiting relatives there over the years. Indeed, mum's family still own farmland around the shore. My Auntie lives in one of those two storey houses. Mum said that she's related to Joe Biden through the Finnegan line there. He visited Lily Finnegan's pub in Whitestown (not far from where you were) when he was Vice President in the Obama Administraion. It's here on You Tube. Thanks for the memories and good luck with everything!

👋Hi there Don, Another wonderful & enlightening video shared & I really enjoyed watching this one, so much so, that I've watched this video thrice times over! lol I have to say, that Greenore Village is lovely & quaint & when I heard the background music playing & seeing you walk around the wee town, it actually brought tears to my eyes. It took me all the way back to our sweet time in Éire earlier this year. A very special country & such friendly people abound. We made so many new & joyous friends. So many people always had time for a wee chat & that really made our days even brighter! Even the lovely Chef @ the wee Cafe/restaurant in Dublin, shared with me how he cooks his meals. He took such pride in his wee kitchen & in what he was producing for those who came to eat. The food was very good & very nutritious. Like you Don, I've always loved so much, the old & historic stone houses, that we ended up living within an old historic house, built circa 1890. Where we live, you'll also see many old stone cottages & many were built from Bluestone & Sandstone. They're just magnificent & they really add such beauty, character & an old world charm/feel, to the many streets in the area. In ref to James Barton, I remember learning years ago, that a historic lighthouse was built on Greenore Point @ Greenore harbour in 1830 & that Greenore has the only "privately owned/operated" port in Ireland. Greenore was initially opened/operated as a seaport in "circa1873" to provide a beneficial service, linking passengers & also cargo between England & Northern Ireland. I read that the London & North Western Railway company built the port @ Greenore, which was designed by James Barton. (Born Dublin: 1826 Died: 1913) James Barton was a "Railway Engineer" & was the eldest surviving son of John Barton, who lived on Mary Street, Dublin (1) & his wife Jane (née Culley). James Barton also projected and carried out works in Carlingford Lough, including the creation of a harbour of refuge & the building of the pier & station at Greenore. I have to add, that I laughed out loud to the point of crying, when I saw the wee baby sitting in the pram behind you & when you shook the pram, told the baby to shut up & called him a little dickhead!! 🤣😂🤣 The little dickhead reminds me of someone adorable that I know & NO, it's not YOU Don! 🤣😂 Finally, regarding the Hydrangea flowers, I just love them so much, as I think they're really pretty when in full bloom & I find them a very interesting plant species & why? Because they change colour annually, pertaining to the acidity/salinity of the soil. For eg: In my parents garden, they have massive blooms annually, which are bigger than the size of a human head & I've seen 3 to 4 varying colours/shades within the annual bloom (over many years) of the same plant. From white/whitish pink, to pink (pale & darker), to my favourite shades of indigo blue & violet (varying hues of these colours). They're all absolutely beautiful & the varying colours really showcase & highlight natures magnificence. As always, Thank you for creating & sharing & until next time, here's wishing you well. And I hope you'll excuse my very lengthy post. Peace✌
