I agree. London is unbelievably gorgeous. Not every city is London. Dublin has it's own charms, I'm sure. I would love to come to Ireland and see it, just as it is.

Due to the woke movement and absurd EU "inclusion" policy, it's only a matter of time before these wonderful decorations harm someone's "feelings" and are declared inappropriate to be displayed in public. You know what I mean. The Christmas ban is close. Christmas will be similar to smoking: it will be allowed only inside your home.

I mean it’s not the nicest tree but it’ll do the job and not like Dublin City council gets the windfall tax money and if there’s not a few dozen incrementally more important projects that need money instead. Imagine the complaining if they did spent windfall tax money on a Christmas tree rather than on the homeless. Loving the videos though, looking forward to where you’re heading next.

Hi Don thanks for showing us around the city at Christmas I am from Dublin and home often. I was in London last weekend it was lovely so many places to look and visit but also very busy. Hannah Ricketts vlogs are very good I am a keen follower. I feel that some of the stores in Dublin have made a good effort but O'Connell Street should have looked much better. I live in Cambridge city but the lights here are not great. The colleges do not do that much once the students are all gone home for Christmas. Also because not all the people celebrate Christmas they don't want to offend! That is just how it is here now. Happy Christmas to you and up the Dubs !

I thought that all of Ireland's beaches looked more or less like the ones from Blackrock or Malahide. I was wrong. But this beach... omg! Thank you, Don. It would be nice to take a detour on your way back to the house where the Father Ted series was filmed. It is somewhere in County Clare, as I remember.

I was hoping you'd land there, Don. My 91 year old father is from Fanad and we travelled over from Birmingham to attend a wedding there last year, the reception was at the Silver Tassie, no less. The wedding was held at a church with the most astounding backdrop of a lake. I don't have the details to hand but it's well worth a visit too. Dad got the opportunity to see his old house for the last time, dilapidated now but still in the middle of nowhere. He related a very spooky story that I don't have room for here. The place is full of people who still hold on to their myths and stories. Anyway, Portsalon is breathtaking yet seemingly still under-appreciated. Good. I read that Donegal was one of the places where Greta Gabo went 'to be alone.' She picked the right place there. The scottish comedian Frankie Boyle's parents and the late, great American comedian George Carlin's father were all from Donegal. Both comics are very near the knuckle so there must be something in the water there.Thank you for jolting the memories, my friend.

Beautiful Dom Donegal certainly has to be one of the most scenic places in Ireland.
