All you tracks (and the two formula junior cars) are absolutely amazing and I bought them all! Do you by chance also have rfactor2 tracks? AC was my favorite SIM for a long time because of the great community and the amazing mods (the graphics also!), but since I got introduced to rfactor 2 a few weeks ago, I can’t look past other games physics.. The physics and the FFB of rfactor 2 are just amazing! So much better than anything I’ve experienced in every other sim racing title! I wish we could get the RF2 physics and FFB with the AC graphics! That would be the sim of my dreams! But if I could at least some of you’re great tracks in rfactor2, that would be an amazing first step in the right direction!

I was already into sim racing, (mainly RBR RSF, and AC) when I came across your video highlighting the Richard Burns Rally RSF plug-in. You have a way of pulling the viewer in, and taking a history lesson, if you will, into Motorsport past. You have completely turned me into a Historic sim-racer, if there is such a thing. Along with RBR all I do is play Gran Prix Legends, Power & Glory (GTR2), Classic cars and tracks in ASM2, AC classic cars in mods as well as RFactor 2. I'm hooked! I realized I have a modern modest sim-rig, but mostly play older games. 😄Thanks for all of your content and helping us all relive a time in motorsports history when our parents were born/young. 80's baby here.

My god, what a track. I had never heard of this place until Racing Circuits did a recent update and I am astounded at this circuit. It’s like Bridgehampton, Riverside and Kyalami all rolled into one. That it’s still there is even more astounding - someone has to save this place. It’s not well located but it’s no farther away from civilisation than the Glen or Laguna Seca is, and is actually pretty close to Des Moines. This is as good as any American track that has ever been built.

Racing back then at that level was just so raw. It wasn't televised u were on your own out there with a car that u had to Man handle for many laps. Better times ...

Similar story and feel to Lynndale Farms Raceway, Peawaukee, WI. Only ran from 63-67. If memory serves they ran out of money but there was also considerable resistance from the neighbors as well. Attracted some big names there too. Is now a subdivision, utilizing much of the original course, with some abandoned sections in backyards, etc, with the abandoned stuff really getting tough to pick out in the more recent years.

My parents and extended family are from Iowa so I enjoy dogging on it for being a bit of a flat boring place as one living in the mountains of the west but I have to say that circuit looks amazing to drive with the rolling hills. What a shame that it never really had a chance to live a legacy like the other amazing circuits of the 60s. Going to have to download this and give it a drive myself.

Interesting video and to hear that it May have inspired Deep Forest. Looks like Greenwood is "Deep Forest Reverse" if anything. DF is probably my favourite from Gran Turismo, or was anyway. I've not played the softened up version from GT7. There is a bit in the forest where the camber changes very aggressively as the road turns, and it's utterly beautiful to behold a car moving through there. I did some cursory research and found Kazunori said he would choose DF if he could bring any GT track to life. Wouldn't it be great to get Greenwood up and running again. I feel like it could almost be crowdfunfed. Man I'd love to get the World Sportscar Championship up running again, with Targa Florio, Mille Miglia, Nordschleife, etc. I think there'd be a demand for it. Prototype and Grand Touring categories, old school circuits...& with actual Deep Forest Raceway. Amazing. It's good to dream...

I've been mapping out as many racing circuits across the US as possible over the past 5+ years off and on. It's exciting to see these tracks getting way more attention and being properly made in Assetto Corsa. I've been making rudimentary versions of abandoned or lost tracks in Bob's Track Builder and elevation data from making precise KML files, but many tracks already existed in rF1 as mods. I see that the creators of this mod are doing Marlboro (very excited to see this one as its tightness really makes BTB struggle and I never could quite make it work) and Vaca Valley (which kinda still exists, like Marlboro, but is in rough shape).

Jake, hats off once again for a great video. As a fellow racing history nut, I enjoy your content immensely, especially with all the background info that always make your videos little history lessons.
