In a throw-away world, I'm for working on everything. Finding a customer who is willing to pay shop-rate to fix it is a little surprising/refreshing.

I see it mainly in elderly people that are comfortable with their equipment and aren't interested in trying something new...or aren't willing to throw away something that could be repaired.

That was handy dandy fix "OEM"part's found 🤣 you must have pretty organized parts locker and amazing memory where you might find some meanwhile busy magic thought on how you fixed it. That's a mechanic with big M💪 thank you for the video

We have a pretty good supply of parts on hand. This one isn't too uncommon. Thanks for watching!

Nice work Scott, you showed those 4 stroke knuckle dragging Neanderthals what a 2 stroke guy can work on other than gas powered equipment. 👍🏻👍🏻

Props to you for working on that cheap electric junk, my boss thankfully tells them to take that stuff else where lol, so much going on especially in the summer with the mowers and all the quipment I dont have time to mess with cheap junk

Thanks. I figure we're selling time. Time spent fixing others peoples problems. I don't mind working on this kind of stuff as long as my pay check is the same.

Even though it's a cheapie it was a nice save Scott. 👍

Thanks for the video Scott! Not sure what that Greenworks cost new, but hopefully it was worth the money to repair. Those brushed motors do not last forever.
@TheGreasyShopRag2 күн бұрын
Ya I'm not sure of the replacement cost. I hope it runs for a few more years at least.
Regarding the soldering gun, it could be the very fine chissel end that has problems transfer enough heat. I always change the tip on my trusty old Weller tcp to a broad tip if i solder jack cords, welding transformers, alternators - the coarser stuff... Like your videos, btw.

Is that acid core solder? Try using a thinner rosin core solder. Might work better with your gun.
@TheGreasyShopRag3 күн бұрын
I'll look into that. Thanks.

If it was mine, I would have eliminated the switch and just soldered the two wires together. No parts required.
