Difference between jets last year and this year is they have a very good starting five on the O-line. That was literally the teams only weakness last year outside of QB of course because Rodgers went down. Bosa can be slightly overrated at times because for some odd reason he’ll disappear in some games and nothing gets said about it like it gets swept under the rug. SB for example KC offensive line was awful and they didn’t double him much. Chase Young had a better game then him. Jets have the better D-line yet alone defense I like this game to total around 23-17 kinda low scoring. Key factors jets O-line & Brock Purdy against an Great defense

it is ridiculous. jets fan should rightly be pissed. 7-10 in two straight seasons, and for two straight seasons you have to play crazy difficult schedules as a result of getting rodgers bc the nfl wants to milk your hype for profit. any other team with a losing record in two straight years would be given a bottom 5 difficulty of schedule this season. instead, the jets open with the 49ers. the nfl is being run by people with no accountability. like, scheduling the ravens and chiefs in kansas city for game 1 is ludicrous: when KC wins, they will feel inevitable for the entire season. and if the jets come out flat against the 49ers, the jets could go 14-3 and feel like a nobody out of the gate: or worse, you get rodgers hurt again in game 1 with vicious greed and shortsightedness

49ers do own Rodgers but this a different team. Week 1 is the best time to play 49ers. Most of the time they dealing with preseason injuries from practices. Starters dont play much in preseason. 49ers usually start seasons slow even bad teams get wins sometimes. It possible that 49ers may play better cause of primetime.

The 49ers in the Shanahan era are 3-4 in openers. 2 of those losses were from a Brian Hoyer start and a young Trey Lance start in a deluge. In those 7 openers, 2 have been at home. In those 3 wins, they’ve scored 30+ points. I’m not giving the 49ers an automatic W for this game, but I do take exception to the notion that they’re ‘known to start the season flat’ nonsense. If anything, I’d put them as league average when it comes to opening games.
