I just bought one and tried it out. Truly amazing. Sounds and reacts like a vox amp. Very transparent and cleans up with the volume knob on guitar just like an amp. I add a slight hint of compression in front and it scratches my itch for a vox amp with all the Chime. My one my all time favorite pedals.

@WhosieWhatsum The first song is "Get Up" from REM's album Green (1988) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIGsdnWlnbiioKs When Andy switches to the Suhr Strat around 5 min, he's playing "Laundromat" by Rory Gallagher. It's on his first record, but my favorite version was recorded live for German TV in 1971 and is available on an album called The Beat Club Sessions. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXylq2RpZZylq5Y Damn, few ever did it better. He just burns it down.

There are tens of thousands of overdrive/gain pedals on the market. I find it fascinating that Greer Amps (almost) always get all of their gain pedals, no matter which way they go, to sound exactly how I love it!!! It's not a coincidence. I'm not particularly overwhelmed by lots of very well sold gain pedals of many other brands, so I guess Nick Greer and I just happen to love the same sounds. Must be something like that. If I was a wealthy motherf....., which I'm not (unfortunately) and I had the chance of using eight very different, yet very good gain pedals on my board, just to cover everything I could possibly want, I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up using 8 Greer Amps pedals. They'd have have to bring back the Hammer though.

nice pedal, but the choice of the intro-song to demonstrate the pedal is once again top ! Much more effective for me than show off soloing techniques, metal riffs,... This REM-song suits the pedal so good and is brought very well. Andy is the only one who can do this so spontaneously and again and again (what a library in his head)

Hey thanks! That’s a custom Grayling by Gray Guitars in the UK. You can see some pics on his site, it’s chambered mahogany, maple top and uses Radioshop P-90s. Love it!

99% of players use a pick. Demos not using a pick is not an accurate accounting of the sound of this pedal. It’s nice for people who don’t use picks but it’s not accurate for people who do. You play great. There’s no denying that. It’s just not a true sound test.
