I think Princess Meow Meow falls in line just after Pete Best and Brian Epstein... But I do agree, it is a very cool project. Of course, just about anything that includes The Beatles has got to be a very cool project. Thanks for the video ***** !

This is actually a really cool project. There are a few places online where you can actually buy the sound modules and make your own custom musical cards (they can be expensive if you're not buying ~20 at a time, though) which would go great with this. You could record a personal birthday message, or just scream at them!

As a circuit-bender I can tell you parts of that little circuit can be upgraded if you can handle a soldering iron. * You can put a sturdier switch in there -- consider a reed switch or push-button switch. * Any 8-ohm speaker can be used instead of that flat speaker and it will sound even better in that box. * These things are need 3 volts, so you can put in a a double AA-cell battery clip instead of using the hearing add-style batteries (it'll give a longer life) AND you can probably make a nice little door for accessing the batteries. There's more, but that would be to add wackiness to the sound.

Of course. She's a cat. My cat gets snooty whenever I take her picture. To save on the cost, you could make the cards out of hardboard (or as some call it - masonite) instead of plywood.

can use a sound board from radio shack (like $12) and then add a lever switch to trigger the music. the bonus is that yopu can record what ever you want up to $20 seconds and its a much better sound quality and if you put a bottle cap over the speaker it not only makes it louder but makes it sound better

All it would take is a soldering iron, a bit of wire and a magnet and reed switch and you could have it play when opened again. Replace the three button cells with a 3AA holder and batteries and your hard work could have an almost infinite shelf life. :)
