I wonder if the breakfast place was called The Flying Pan. A classic HK hangover location. I would love to know which bars they went to, HK is a special kind of place to go out on an all night bender. I saw Greg do his You Magnificent Beast show to a tiny crowd in a small curry house in Wanchai and it was one of the funniest nights of my life. Oh! And that's Barry Castagnola! I totally didn't twig until now. He did the warm up act before Greg's and was sensational. Brilliant comedian!

This is absolutely brilliant. My mental health has hit rock bottom lately and the videos on this channel and this video in particular made me laugh more than I thought was possible (gross stories about near alcohol poisoning have anti-depressant qualities - who'd thunk it.) I know it's none of my business, but I am genuinely worried.)

Was woken up one morning by my friend’s wife yelling at him while he was getting ready for work in the bathroom next to the room I was sleeping in. She was pissed that we stayed up really late getting drunk. I couldn’t fall back asleep and decided to drive the hour home. Head pounding like a funking drum, I start spewing vomit on my passenger seat and floor board. I live in country, so there were no gas stations around to stop and clean it out. Only pine trees. That was the least of the absolutely stupid things I did while drinking. A funking miracle I didn’t kill someone driving blind drunk regularly. 8 years sober. Very, very lucky.

The worst hangover I ever had was after drinking a beer jug full of home-mixed Brandy Alexander. I was still lying in bed, puking black bile into an adjacent waste paper bin, at 5:00pm the following day. The worst vomiting incident was after drinking way too much Sambucca, which I got for about $10 for a litre at Rome airport. I flew back to Australia, had no sleep, and went straight to a party… I remember trying to use the toilet at the party house and it seemed to be moving around like a mechanical bull… Deciding it was time to go home, I called a taxi, got half-way home and suddenly felt very ill. I asked the driver to pull over, but despite being in a deserted suburban street, he didn’t seem to sense the urgency and took a while to come to a stop. I wrenched open the passenger-side door, but - alas - it was too late and I vomited copiously (and very neatly, under the circumstances) into the door’s map-pocket. Hardly a drop on the pavement, but the map pocket was chockers with sick. Aaaahhh, good times! 🤣🤣

Shitting your pants is the touchstone of true love. One evening in the midst of a jumpscare war that my girlfriend and I were having, she was coming home from work and I heard her in the stairwell. I climbed over the flatscreen by the front door and squatted down on the far side of the entertainment center. The plan was to fart as a distraction, then pop out and get my scare points. She opened the door, and it's now remembered as "The time you shat yourself behind the television". We're on about 7 years now. I fucking love that woman, and somehow she loves me.

The journalist, I think, isn’t referring to drinking water shortly before bed on a drinking night. The journalist is referring to drinking water in the morning to shorten or prevent a hangover already in progress. Once you wake up with a hangover, they are contending the water helps with current dehydration, but that the hangover process still must complete in the liver... and nothing will hasten that rate. Dunno what’s real. An article without medical blind studies and control groups and such is just a bunch of opinions presented as facts.

I think water helps because it forces the excess alcohol to by washed out of your intestines, which prevents more of it from being absorbed whilst you sleep. It's more of a preventative measure than a cure, so yeah technically saying it isn't a hangover *cure* is true, but a bit misleading.
@sandoumir4348 Жыл бұрын
I suggest you seek medical help if you believe the alcohol is dealt with by your intestines. You seem to be missing a liver, pancreas and at least one but most likely both of your kidneys.
