Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

You contribute in other ways no matter if your fishing luck was down you could contribute in other ways that are valuable too. Despite the setback with the kayak plan and the stolen fish, I think this video was a turning point. Fish trap, fire, and progress on a bow. Recharged batts etc. I'm looking forward to seeing if you guys venture to a new spot as well. P.s I'm in Rutland VT, Zach's hometown. Greg put a small cylindrical stick in your coffee pan that sticks out 3-4 inches and control the pour of your coffee.

for this type of fishing, your best gear option would be one of tthose long spinning rods people use on the east coast for catching stripers from the beach. You could cast your lures way further out, and cover much more water. I think thats the reason Amos is catching fish. His Lures reach out to the striking zones, which are a bit further out.

You know, at first this one seemed a little lack-luster, but this story continues to unfold in intriguing and entertaining ways. And, though Greg has certainly faced an unusual amount of slips and pitfalls here and there, his ability to look not towards his blunders or unfortunate events, but rather towards the more positive and driving aspects of this Survival Challenge, has continued to impress me and fills me with an almost empathic determination to see his good efforts returned in good fortune on this Island!
