Great Tommy thank you for the wonderful lesson. the splendid altered scale you explain looks like a G Bachiana Super Locrian but maybe I'm wrong, 👍👍👍👍👍

G altered scale = G superlocrian = Ab melodic minor = Ab bachiana, hope that helps ;-)

Yes totally - the only issue I had was tuning stability - I had my guitar tech replace the bridge with a Floyd rose and the problem was solved - I get Greg’s sound almost out of any guitar and amp to be honest 😁
