Greg has been doing selective picking a lot way before Tosin from Animals as Leaders has popularized it. He's amazing.

Greg is a GENIUS that has never ever got the recognition he deserves. Back in the late 80s he was already doing all the things that made Guthrie Govan famous in the 2000s. Greg Howe is a living legend!

Greg has gottent more recognition than every single guitarist but van Halen . He played for Rhianna Julio Iglesias salt and pepa , even Micheal Jackson or the king of pop . You just don't know guitar players recognition .

In my mind still probably the best artist to walk the planet, that's probably because my heart is in guitar. But Greg is much more than just a guitar player, he is a true artist, composer and genius of so many different types of music. There might even be some better guitar players these days, but Greg Howe's vast catalog supersedes any other's player's in my opinion.

The thing I love about Greg is the same thing I love about the other GREAT Howe, Steve. They're both GUITAR NERDS!! They're both ALL in and in every single way, they have absurd recall capacity and lighting fast memories. I'm sort of late to Greg but I've been going back and listening...astonishing. I love the guy and how articulate and astute he is about what he does. He must be the most incredible teacher.

I love to see the ADAT in the background and know that this content is still relevant today and many years to come. Technique, always great melody, and just being cool, that's Greg Howe.

Thank you Greg for the explanation, I was wondering how it was possible to play so fast, I knew you were using the fingers of your right hand, but such speed. I'll practice tomorrow :)

There are several guitar pieces by Julio Sagreras in his books and methods for learning classical guitar, around 1930, where he used that technique.

It really is an original technique and totally useful for any guitar player. Thank you for sharing this.

Greg Howe, Paul Gilbert, Frank Gambale, etc... All great guitar virtuosos and great guitar teachers from the 80s emerged seemingly at once, at a time when there was no internet, no KZbin... Just basically books and listening to records. Unbelievable.

Greg Howe is amazing but I doubt his claim of inventing this. Shawn Lane was doing this stuff in the 80s at least. Allan Holdsworth as well.

@ironfront95732 жыл бұрын
You gotta set your strap smaller for sitting so it just stops the guitar sliding off your leg.
